http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-videos/0ap3000001101498/Every-NFL-team-s-strength-of-schedule-for-2020 Completely insane, I do not know how this happens.
It used to be just playing NE twice a year added to the toughness of the schedule but now Buffalo is good coming off a 10 win season so that's 4 games right there. Factor in the NFC West especially SF and SEA and the AFC West especially KC. It's no surprise its a tough schedule.
Well our coach is an offensive genius so I don't think we'll have THAT hard of a time overcoming the odds.
It's what I've been saying all season. Anyway, the Jets better pull a rabbit out of their ass because if last year's team takes the field this year, they're going 3-13.
Well unfortunately the schedule happens to line up that way this calendar year. When the league switched to this automatic schedule (so that a team knows the majority of their opponents years in advance) they should have switched the time zone travel much better. Every so often the Jets are going to have to make 3 or 4 west coast trips in a single season. They tried to rectify that by having the Jets host the Cardinals two times in a row (both 2008 and 2012) to counter balance the travel but it certainly hasn’t helped the 2020 schedule. Plus throw in the fact that the Chiefs and 49ers both happen in play in those divisions and happen to be the strongest teams at this time. Brutal.
Haven't we been here long enough to know that schedule strength doesn't tend to play out how we would expect it. The Jets have a pretty easy home schedule if you ask me anyway: Buffalo Bills Miami Dolphins New England Patriots Denver Broncos Arizona Cardinals San Francisco 49ers Cleveland Browns Las Vegas Raiders
It's never easy with the Jets and I don't see an easy game there....maybe Arizona. Even the Browns smoked 'em last year.....
So when the Jets struggle - even worse than last year even with an upgraded OL and weapons - we'll be able to say "Well, it's not really fair to judge Gase with a schedule like this".
I don't actually think we're going 3-13 this year. But if last year's team played this year's schedule: Home: Bills - L (Lost to them at home) Dolphins - W (Beat them at home) Patriots - L (Lost to them at home) Broncos - L (Could be a W) Raiders - W (Beat them at home) Browns - L (Lost to them at home) Cardinals - W (Could be an L) 49ers - L (Lol) Away: Bills - L (Won't be the backups this year) Dolphins - L (Lost to them away) Patriots - L (Lost to them away) Chiefs - L (Lol) Chargers - L (On the west coast) Colts - L (You never know) Rams - L (On the west coast) Seahawks - L (Lol)
I feel bad for the 16 teams that have to play us next year. A lot of those fans have already penciled in a big fat 'L' for their game against the powerful JETS. Trial by fire my friends. When we get in there won't be anyone saying "Ya but who did the beat to get here???'. We will have earned it the hard way, and we will have mad respect from around the league. Can't wait!
I'd rather have the sick schedule in 2020 than in 2021. If we don't win at least 9 games in Sam's contract year...
Look at the Bright side this gives Gase and his supporters one of many built in excuses on why the team did not do well, I mean look at the travel and the tough schedule ! If you throw in a few injuries heck Gase might even get an extension before Halloween
