Simple poll I will run after the remaining games to see the consistency of people.

This is following his 29/39 339yd 1 TD 1 INT performance.

If he plays well then yes, if not then no.

Hopefully he will, so I will say yes.

3 years is pushing it though.

    Atleast next season.

IF the Jets make the playoffs this year and make a splash in them, I could see him coming back. But regardless, he's 30 years old and I don't think he's in the future plans over the next few years for the Jets.

Don't worry. He won't be the starter after the 07 season. Clemens is being groomed for the position Rivers-style.

I don't understand your hatred for the man. It is really unsettling and very small of you.

Unless his consistency improves next season, then no, I don't.

I think he should be the qb for the next year or 2 at least

Pennington will have another offseason to let his arm rest and get stronger.

The offense is built around him.

The next 3 years is an unfair thread to make.

For 2007, the answer should be Yes.

I agree. He is too inconsistent when he faces a good passrush and cold , windy weather. I wonder what a DOME team would give for him in a trade?

yeah, im partial to him. I was against drafting a QB in the 1st rd because I wanted Chad to get a chance to prove himself and I honestly feel hes been good this year. I would like Chad to Qb the team a couple more years(winning years hopefully), then pass the reigns to Clemens and staying on as a backup.

If he $@#^ the bed against another good defense this year, I'm not sure if he will even be back next year. If he plays well the rest of the way out, I think he will be back for next year, and who knows, maybe he finds the consistency he needs to be a top QB in this league. It is possible. I hope he does, but I just kinda doubt he can, I'm not holding my breath.

"Good Chad" is good. He is very very good. I'd take "Good Chad" forever. I'd praise him and talk Super Bowl everyday.
But, "Bad Chad" is bad. He is very very bad. I really don't want to see "Bad Chad" in one more game. And, I just know I will.
Now I could vote based on who I saw last. I think we saw "Good Chad" most of the game. I'd vote yes for "Good Chad". But, I think your intention is to vote for who I think I will see more of in the future.. "Bad Chad" or "Good Chad".
I just really don't know. But, I'll be hoping that I see "Good Chad" and that we keep him for the next three years.

    2 years

3 is too long into the future, you can't project anything that far in this league.

    No.

Chad can have his good days against weak pass defenses, but ultimately stinks against top 10 defenses. Clemens is the future of this team and if not starting in 07, will definitely be starting in 08.

Next week will be the telling week. the pattern of complete self-destruction against the tough physical defenses is obvious. Let's see what happens against Miami, although that in itself won't make up for the Browns, Bills, Bears, and Jags game.

What will be successful for you next week?

    Hopefully a win.

Chad's job will be to manage the game next week. Nothing special.

His stats won't be that great. Hopefully no one will use that against him.
