From what I've read all the Posters here have done some great research on what's to come in April for us My big takeaway is that this Draft is loaded with Talent those first 3 Rounds and probably no need for us to Trade back Sit tight , and see who's available at your selection is what I would do and make Offense and OL Top Priority..>>>get some WR firepower and a late round RB. I shutter at JD taking an Edge ...to Hell with D ..time to kick that can down the road or address in FA
I disagree. The draft is loaded at wr and o line. I like this draft for those spots. But trading back in a draft (if someone that like wirfs or Thomas isn't there) get more picks and if done right more talent. Honestly if someone we don't without a doubt want is there I would prefer the trade back to a reach for an ol or wr we can get at 20. We could acquire another 2nd and 3rd and still get an oline or wr later in the 1st. For instance if Thomas, Wirfs, and Lamb are gone and a team around 20 wants to move up for a qb or Jeudy and offer the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd I consider it. That's another chance at big talent and this draft has a lot of it. I just hope Douglas is doing major talent eval.
IMO it would be incredibly stupid for him to take an edge rusher. For starters, Chaisson isn't all that. Yes, we need an elite edge rusher, but Chaisson isn't it imo. He has the potential to possibly become a very good edge rusher, but Lamb and Jeudry are already great WRs. We need for Sam to continue developing and succeed. An edge rusher does nothing to help Sam, and if Sam fails or only winds up being mediocre, then the team will fail or be mediocre, no matter how good Chaisson becomes. I would love any one of Thomas, Wirfs, Becton, Lamb or Jeudy, but hate anything else at that pick. Under normal circumstances, I'd be very happy with Chaisson, but with the way the offense has been ignored for 10 years, this isn't a normal circumstance. We have a chance to get an elite OL or WR prospect. We'd better take it, and not get cute and try to outsmart everyone, and go with an edge rush prospect that isn't even elite.
Yes, this mock is old. Humphrey is staying at Oklahoma and won't be in the draft at all. Wirfs defintely won't be there, and he could easily be the highest OL picked. Pittman will probably go in the 2nd round.

At least we get one of the top-rated OL in this mock, but I don't think I'd I'd be happy with taking Wills with Wirfs still on the board, but would try to give Douglas the benefit of the doubt and see how it plays out. If Wills then proved to be mediocre or a bust and Jeudy, Lamb and Wirfs went on to be stars, I'd definitely not be happy.
Interesting that he has Andrew Thomas as only the 25th best prospect, and has Becton as the best OT. Also interesting is that Biadasz isn't even in his top 50. Cesar Ruiz is listed as the best Center in the draft, and the 34th best player.
Looking like a near certainty that one of the top 4 OL will be available at 11. I hope JD will have the opportunity to choose between more than one and not just be left with whoever is left.
Matt Miller tweeted this out yesterday after the Senior Bowl practice. Teams seem to have Thomas as the 4th best OT, I even saw a report that some teams view him as an OG in the NFL.
Higgins and Thomas have both been dropping. Higgins played horrible in the college playoffs, so I understand him. Thomas is weird to me, I don't think he's a guard. But Becton could end up better. There maybe no sure fire tackle in the draft but several very good prospects. As for Gross-Matos I've not been high on him, he has had some good play followed by completely disappearing.
Yeah the only one surprising is Thomas. I thought he was surefire lock to be the first tackle off the board, then Wills skyrocketed. I had a gut feeling that Becton would rise on boards because the dude is an absolute monster, he just towers over everyone and his film is solid to go along with it.
That’s fine. In this scenario JD can trade down a little, add some picks and still get Thomas later in the first and Biadasz in the second lol......
Yea these mock drafts are fun and all but not very realistic, first time I’ve had Chase drop to 11 though. Hopefully they will update rankings after combine.
We can always hope Chase gets filmed snorting coke off a hookers ass the week of draft. With Dan Snyder though that may be seen as a positive.
