1st this would seem like good news right? it would be a step closer to having another chance to play even maybe this season. but what does he do?
I can't overstate how much I hate how the NFL conducts it's business. That said, AB blaming the league, the media, anyone but the man in the mirror is so embarrassingly ridiculous and sad. 1- If he just conducts himself in a decent way he is making a ton of money in Oakland on a good team. 2- If he just keeps his mouth shut and doesn't try to scare his accuser in a text, he's making good money on a very good Pats team. The guy has something wrong with him clearly. Terrell Owens is the closest case that comes to my mind.
Sorry if I sound like Dr. Phil here, but some folks have suggested that AB is Bipolar or suffers from Manic Depression. Here are the 10 signs typical of this illness. 1.) Depression 2.) Inflated Ego 3.) Erratic Thought Patterns 4.) Erratic Behavior 5.) Difficulty speaking with exaggerated urgency 6.) Shopping sprees 7.) Mania 8.) Guilt 9.) drug use 10.) Suicidal From what I can tell, AB meets 5 of these 10 symptoms for sure. If any more of these type behaviors show up in the news, the case will be stronger for this disorder. Bipolar Disorder is a common side effect after traumatic brain injury, so if this is the case with AB, I don't think the NFL will want to deal with it. AB might end up being the NFL poster boy for TBI because of all the notoriety he receives in the media. I hope I am wrong, but I have an ugly feeling I am right.
There may not be a better example for the reality of CTE than this guy. Seriously. He's been in the league for many years for most of that time he was quiet, one of the league's underrated, under the radar stars despite playing for the Steelers. He did some commercials. Then the past two seasons BOOM he's like a completely different person. Crazy. Unpredictable. Senseless. Too many hits to the head?
Considering reports of his manic behavior going all the way back to his youth, his CTE must have been caused coming out of the womb.
I would imagine this might become an Albert Belle scenario where Brown is strictly kept out of the Hall of Fame because he's a piece of trash. The MLB writers are a little bit more sticklers when it comes to their preserving the integrity of the game bullshit. But this whole saga might keep him out. He had 6 straight seasons of 100+ catches and 1,200+ yards/8+ touchdowns. I'd say he's deserving but it'll be interesting to see. Because while they punished TO by not letting him in year one, I can't see AB letting this feud go anytime soon.
If I were a voter, barring Brown genuinely redeeming himself, I would never vote for him. On the field he put up HOF numbers, but off the field he's an embarrassment to the league.
I honestly think he snapped this year. I mean he was a diva before but it like he just went ballistic. It's been non stop all year. I remember watching on hard knocks him acting all happy and proud to be a raider. His family looked happy. Then it went crazy.
I have a feeling that a lot of voters are going to agree with you. I think he's a disaster off the field. And I think his lack of TO longevity will hurt him. That and TO never attacked the league like this guy is.
Porn shop. We have one in the small town I work in that the church protested and got shut down. Bunch of women at work were going around trying to pass out little candy dicks for a few weeks before they shut down. Guess they had a going out of business dick sale.
I just thought about something. Due to all the Jarvis love and fans saying Gase chased him out of town, I hope ab goes to the browns if he ever makes a come back. OBJ, Jarvis, and AB. Divas on parade. They would cause the biggest meltdown in NFL history.
