    Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama.

From there we'll go O-Line early and often but Jeudy is too great to pass up on as a #1 WR for Darnold for many of years to come.

    QB: Darnold.
    RB: Bell.
    WR 1: Jeudy.
    Slot: Crowder.
    WR 2: Anderson.
    TE1: Herndon.
    TE2: Griffin.

Behind a (hopefully) much improved offensive line, that's an explosive offense listed above.

I'm a pound the table offensive line guy but if the Jets are 100% sure that Jeudy is a true #1 type impact WR I think that might be a good call DWC.

Edge and O-line before skill positions. Edge takes the pressure off the CBs and allows Adams more freedom away from the box. O-line helps Sam, Bell, the receivers...
    Gotta stick with the fundamentals:
    1. Get your quarterback (check)
    2. Protect your quarterback
    3. Knock down the other guy's quarterback.
So far, we've only addressed one out of three.

I agree we need a dominant edge rusher, but I doubt a "blue chip" pass rusher will still be there at #11.

Chase Young definitely won't be there at 11, but there's a chance that Epenesa could be. I'd be ecstatic with that pick. Then go all in on acquiring o-line talent. If we go edge first, that's limits us in terms of acquiring a LT, but we could shore up the center and one of the guard positions and build on that.

Still early but I'm seeing a lot of ppl saying Lamb goes over Jeudy. Won't know until the combine and pro days but I'm think we end up with one of them.

I'm hoping an o linemen or edge falls to us. I don't see WR making the impact we need.. but who knows maybe that gets cleared up in FA

A lot will depend on who Douglas can snag during FA. There could even be a trade back possibility. In general, I want OL, Edge, WR, CB in that order preferably.

  11. I think the right WR could absolutely make as big of an impact as a blue chip OL or edge.

If they have a good release & can separate the team will be much better equipped to execute a quick or timing based passing game.

if they are a power forward type w catching radius they provide Darnold w a big target on off schedule extended plays & another element in terms of 50/50 balls as well as a red zine presence

Either scenario is a massive boost to the offense.

Olinemen with first round pick and second round pick. Antonio Gandy Goldman with one of the 3rd round picks.

Protect Sam and gave him a weapon to go with Anderson as a number 2 receiver.

If they can get a good pass rusher with FA, this would be a good route to take.

DeMarcus Lawrence or Frank Clark and Brandon Scherff would be a great start.

They would enable the 11th pick to be more flexible.

edit: I’d look into Austin Hooper too

I'm hearing this is a pretty deep WR draft so I wouldn't waste a first rounder on one when we have other holes...second round is a good spot for a WR....look at this draft both Metcalf and AJ Brown taken late 2nd.

  16. Scherff, Conklin & Clarke. All young, all plus players & all realistic w our cap space.

Scherff & Conklin are your new Right side. Clarke crosses a massive need off list

Draft becomes about WR, more OL & corner.

Honestly , sign Yannick and that covers pass rusher. I think Jeudy will be gone by 11 along with Thomas. I might look at Laviska, he is definitely a dynamic player

Scherff and Conklin both would be a HR. I can’t see that happening though.

But I hope it does ...

Jets need to get damn scat speed back.
Guys like Ekeler, Scott, Mostert, are this new wave of smaller speed guys who can just wreck a game.
Hell just get FASTER. The jets lack the foot speed at almost all the positions besides WR I’d say. Get faster corners, faster LB’s and def faster DE’s/ pass rushers.

Stupid to draft WR with the first pick. The Jets O line is terrible. Also this class is loaded with WRs so spend the first three picks on offensive lineman. Wirfs should be available at 11. If not Leatherwood would be available. Draft Tyler Biadasz in the second round and in the third round go out and get a CB like Troy Pride who has serious speed and size. With the other 3rd round pick you can get your WR like a K.J Hill who runs a 4.42 forty.. Forget getting a running back. The position has greatly been diminished over the years. Case in point is if you have a shitty offensive line and there is not holes for the running back you get what Bell did for the jets this year. Building a great offensive line is the most important move a team in rebuilding can do.
