I’d be willing to bet about 90% of the time there’s an incomplete pass on first down, the 2nd down call is almost always a draw up the middle.
Guy is built like Mister Salty. I'm just amazed that he doesn't look like a pile of broken sticks after he gets tackled.
I'm trying real hard to see Sam Darnold as the answer. Where's the improvement? Maybe I'm expecting too much.
He's got the tools, but frankly Gase is ruining him with the plays called. Yes, he does make dumb mistakes, but so does every young QB.
To be honest, I'm not confident Darnold will be better than Allen. I'd put them both in the same boat right now, below average QBs with the potential to become above average. Mayfield is also in that boat. Allen is going to the playoffs because he has a good team around him, and I think the Bills would also be a playoff team with Darnold. But the moments when Darnold elevates the team around him with his playmaking ability get canceled out when he does dumb stuff with the football (especially with poor footwork), and I'm not sure if he'll ever fix that.
MAYBE you just arent very well versed in talking shiznit and/or sarcasim. Obviously i know thats not what you meant discussing it w the other Bills fan, but in all seriousness, during the draft Id have preferred Sam. Now, you couldnt pry Allen from my cold stiff hands even if i was dead. Thats not to say Sam wont improve, I just think you guys have a Gase problem hindering his development - meanwhile Allen has had an excellent atmosphere for growth and development, which, hes taken advantage of. I was wondering what hed have to do to change the national pundits narrative and last week seems to have been the final step in that regard as the last few guys digging their feet in threw up their hands and said they were wrong. There are still a few guys like Colin Fahey whos careers are tied to Allens failure but those with no financial ties have admitted he could be really good.
