I know most here will disagree but that is exactly why many coaches run out the clock in that situation. Which is what I would have done. With our o line the odds of something like that happening are pretty decent.
Hahaha we as fans surely know. It's a multiple choice answer: A. Ask Adam Gase for his gameplan B. No Second half adjustments C. Bad call (or no call) by refs D. Sam overthrows E. Dropped balls by receivers F. Entire O-line does its best W*yne H*nter impression (i refuse to type his name in its entirety) G. Almost sacks on defense don't count as real sacks H. Sam Ficken I. Make a Wish Fund brings in a kid to play for Steelers offense on a 3rd and long play. (Kid converts, because PIT would have done so anyway) J. All of the above
I think it's the play calling mostly honestly. I'm not attributing that all to darnold as far as the poor output Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
I feel like they are trying to force the run too much and this Oline isn’t going to get much push on this stout Steelers D. I would do some misdirection runs like the one to Montgomery earlier and open up the short passing game.
Put it this way - say Robbie Anderson rips his helmet off to celebrate hoot and hollar after making a big catch. Is there any doubt that about 5 flags come immediately flying at him? The Johnsons not only need to invest in better college scouting, but also matching whatever amount the Pats, Steelers, and Packers pay the officials.
What happened to Duck what's his name? Did the Jets knock him out of the game or did he get benched fir ineffectiveness? The Jets have had the worst luck facing solid QBs instead of crapoy ones. Fitzpatrick instead of Rosen. Dalton instead of what's the scrubs name? And now this.
I have had to stop watching for a while - it is ruining my holiday cheer - if Santa is reading this all I want for Xmas is a new squad, new coaching staff, new ownership and a SB during my lifetime - is that too much to ask?
