Where's the scam? They have collected less than $4K through the gofundme page. I'm pretty sure that flying a plane over the Hudson river and putting up several billboards in NJ costs more than that. They are promoting their website along the way. So what?
That maybe a little overboard but we also saw a clown face on the cover of a NYC newspaper after the last presidential election. So, things of that nature are pretty much a norm in New York City.
