Anyone involved in this isn't a clown. They're grifters and it's an easy grift. The mark is whiny bitches with too much money who buy season tickets, drink themselves sick on shitty bear and buy up Jersey's in multiple color schemes. They probably powder their balls with J&J baby powder and absolutely suck at their job.
The billboards show that fans can detect incompetence pretty quickly. Idzik was awful and who knows how many more bad decisions he would've made if he was retained after 2 seasons. Given that Gase didn't leave Miami on good terms and many fans didn't want him to be the Jets HC in the first place, he will not receive the benefit of the doubt a more proven HC or a first timer would get. I do agree that the clown face is taking it too far.
The money he makes is not the point. Attacking a guy like that is wrong. You may want him gone, I do too. I even donated $100 for this. But painting him a clown? That is wrong.
Not sure why you think the money he earns makes it ok to act classless towards him. There’s a way to show disapproval about his job performance without making it personal and keeping it dignified. But again, this what people do when they are sure there is no chance of an actual face to face meeting.

Lighten up boys. The clown face paint on the billboard was probably ill conceived and may have detracted from the message but it is really neither inappropriate nor a reflection on his family. When someone chooses to enter the public domain and reap the big bucks for doing so they willingly sacrifice certain things including exposing themselves to public ridicule. If they're unequipped to explain that to their family they're probably unequipped to take the job. What if the guy in greasepaint was Dowell Loggains? Would there still be a backlash or a simple nodding of heads?
Yea there should still be backlash. There’s class and there’s classless. The rank of the person involved has no bearing on basic respect of a person. Something that doesn’t have to disappear just because you aren’t a fan of their work.

Like I said, you can do this with some class if you have that kind of character. Or you can flex anonymous muscles and paste him in a clown face knowing he would never be in front of you knowing you were the one that did it.
