Jets will go 8-8 next season and miss the playoffs due to Gase's incompetence and bonehead decision making. Coach will get a five year extension and the team will continue to waver between clusterfuck and mediocrity due to excessively autistic ownership.
I understand your thinking, but I wouldn't make this claim with Douglas now on board. If he fixes our offensive line, grabs a few weapons on offense and signs a couple corners, we can be a MUCH improved team. But like always, that just might be a pipe dream
I wouldn't be shocked to see the Jets put a winning season together under Gase if they have a good off-season and address some of their fatal flaws. All that being said, I don't in any way, shape or form think this guy is the answer long term.
We can have a much improved roster next year and still go 6-10. Because if this year's team had next year's schedule, our record would be more like 2-12 than 5-9.
