This offseason will be fascinating in terms of QB movement. I have no clue how it’s going to turn out. I only hope that the Dolphins get scared off by the Tua injury and panic and draft Justin Herbert early.
Yeah I honestly hope Miami and New England find a way to get the biggest busts ever. Other than that it will be a very interesting off season.
for the 1st time in a long time there seems to be "too many" Qbs. I don't think more then 3 teams are drafting one to start and probably only like 2-3 teams looking for a veteran QB
Tua and Herbert have both been tanking in all the latest mocks I've seen. I don't think Tua comes out though if he is projected to fall past top 10. He'll just go back to Alabama. The Dolphins have 3 first rounders (theirs, Houston's, Pittsburgh's). Herbert with one of those two late 1sts is the real danger for the Dolphins. I think he's going to be an awful pro while Tua is certainly worth the gamble.
In the FA market the two that stand out to me are Cam and Teddy Bridgewater. Cam is still good when healthy. Teddy went 5-0 on the Saints this year. My guess is Titans lock up Tannehill for a while. It's driving Dolphins fan crazy that he's having this resurgence but that's how bad the front office was if he looks like this under a new one.
I don't see any way Tua goes back to school. Or if he doesn't declare I can't imagine he'll play more college football. He had 3 surgeries in 18 months. Why would he risk another? I agree on Herbert. I really hope the Dolphins draft him. I think he will be trash. I don't believe in Bridgewater at all. He's captain check down. A crappier version of Alex Smith who doesn't really run and can't throw the ball down field. Cam is another story. All these thoughts about him being done are ridiculous. Unless he doesn't really want to play anymore. He just needed a year to get healthy.
What worries me is somehow Tua falls to the Patriots, he sits a year and gets healthy while learning all the ropes from Brady and Patriots dynasty just keeps on rolling.
The Patriots are requesting to have Tom Brady's answer before the start of free agency as to what he's going to do. Which is completely reasonable. But I wonder if they have their eyes on any of the players above? I sort of think they might like Mariota. I think he'll be a hotter commodity than a lot of people think. He struggled this year but he doesn't turn the ball over.
There are an equal amount of rumors about Rivers to the Buccaneers and letting Winston walk because he moved his family to Florida. He'll also always be rumored to go to Tennessee because he's from there and that team is ready to go. A lot of Brady to Vegas rumors as well since he was seen with Marc Davis at the last UFC fight. Cam to Jacksonville seems a bit out there. I can't imagine him meshing with Marrone.
I think tenn keeps tannehill but wouldn't suprise me if they wanted to upgrade. they could have made the SB with a better QB
If this had happened last year Seattle could have gotten out from in front of the Russell Wilson freight train that is likely to do them in the next few years.
