Giants cut Janoris Jenkins

    I wasn't defending Jenkins, but it sure looks to me as if the Giants exploited this to do what they would have done after the season anyway. Of course, Jenkins didn't help himself with his half-assed apology. Isn't this the same franchise that signed a kicker a few years ago knowing he had a dom-vio history and stuck with him until the public heat got too intense? If Jenkins was a more productive player and had a future with the team, the Giants would have reacted much differently here.

    It also struck me how some of the columnists took such a holier-than-thou attitude on this. I can't believe some of these pundits don't use comparable language when hanging out with their buddies.

    Agreed this had nothing to do with the politically incorrect usage of the word retarded. This was a self serving money saving effort by a morally corrupt organization. Where we disagree is I don't blame this on the Giants, I blame it on the NFL that has set up this system to exploit players in their standard contracts.

    Don't forget most columnists have a vested interest in access. They are not neutral observers in most cases.
