Darnold is most definitely a stud if he indeed told Gase to "fuck off."

3 weeks in a row he had hewitt covering a WR deep over the middle and all 3 weeks we got burned on it. obviously the ravens seen that on film and used it. hewitt also passed off a TE to nobody that jackson missed for what would have been a wide open 60 yard TD. he has to stop using hewitt as a deep cover LBer

lol thanks to a perfect placed ball by sam. still everyone has drops. except godwin who hasn't dropped a ball all year and you can't complain about a ball being dropped when there is PI

Don't disagree, biggest shortcoming for Anderson's is fighting thru plays with in your face CBs. But that was a clear holding call that according to the "experts in the booth "gets called all the time.
i thought the officiating was very poor.I thought the expert ref opinion in the booth was a political waste of time. I give the refs the biggest DUD. In fact the touchdown by the Ravens where the WR only dragged one foot in the end zone was also a blunder IMO.

you left out the jets recovering the punt that clearly hit that guy on the Ravens.

That’s why we have to get players where when things like that happen it won’t matter.

I think we need to get Burgess on the studs list. Another heroic effort by a guy that is probably lucky to even be in the league.

yeah he's played nicely the past couple of weeks. probably earned himself a roster for us for next year to go with cashman, hewitt, and mosely

The offensive line was horrible. I didn't watch much, but the little bit I did watch, Sam was under assault. There was one play where the announcers said that Lamar did a great job to avoid the "pressure" and on the replay, one of the Jet's rushers is free up the middle for a split second before being blocked to the ground! All Lamar did was avoid stepping up into the rush. Besides that "pressure", Lamar had all day to throw.

Now days you just have to play an average game to get on the studs list.

    That's the 2019 Jets.

I remember thinking "what pressure?" He had to hold the ball 5 seconds before he felt any kind of pass rush.

The announcers were slobbering over Jackson all game trying to make it seem like dropping back with all day to throw and finding laughably wide open receivers was "next level".

This is the season of Lamar. One he gets hurt (which he will) and cant run a 4.0 forty anymore he will become an average QB. Ravens better win it all this season.

Or he learns to improve his passing and remains an elite QB even after he can't run as well anymore. No worse odds of that than of Sam learning to improve his passing.

Everyone is afraid of Lamar running which creates major space in the secondary. That is his game this season. He is not developing as a pocket NFL QB the way most NFL QBs do. Once he cannot run its going to be a different game for him, which he will have to learn all over. We've seen this show before.

First of all, teams need to stop giving him space in the secondary and if anything entice him to run more often. The best way to stop him is to wear him down with all that running and get some hits on him. But the thing is, he can throw well. Yeah the 110+ passer rating is because his receivers are so open, but I think he could still break 90 even without his running ability.

I noticed one very nice block by Wesco in the running game and I wonder how much of the running game improvement was from his playing. I would be curious to know his snap count. I also noticed that Gase moved away from the 5 wide to give Dam some protection often only sending two or three in the route. That was a nice change to finally see.

Sadly I think this is the likely outcome. Of course by saying he's "average" that doesn't exactly mean he's chopped liver. If your the 15th best starting QB in all of football you are still pretty darn effective.... it just won't be as easy as it was when your legs were young and pristine and you could just run around the entire defense and pick up 15 yards seemingly at will.

The chances that he doesn't at least pull a hamstring or something be the end of say the 2021 season you would think would be single digits at best. Speed is the most fickle, fleeting skill of all these athletes.

Duds-Daryl Roberts. Constant terrible and blown coverages and missed tackles. I know he was playing out of place but no matter where we put this guy, he gets exposed.

yeah he's pretty awful. thankfully him and tru are gone next year

I really like bless, poole is a great slot CB, we need another starter outside, hopefully in free agency. then we can draft a CB in the mid rounds (3rd) and keep maulet and hairston as the 5th and 6th CBs

I agree with almost all except for Gase. I wouldnt label him in any of the categories. He called much more roll outs for Sam than in previous game, he ran the ball, he called some safe plays and had Sam take some shots that connected. You can second guess any coach on some plays but people love to hate Gase no matter what he does here and a lot of the time its warranted but i cant fault him for the Ravens game. Ravens are just a tough team and have a really good defense. I

yeah good point. he's probably more neutral then stud or dud. FWIW i don't hate on gase. I'm in the camp of we can't really judge him this year because of all the injuries and issues at o-line
