It's a shame the Jets just suck at building teams. I wanted the Jets to take Barkley or Nelson at 6 and trade back up for Lamar but I guess not.
Jets fans overrate all their players though. With the way some of our fans talk up some of these below average players, you would think this would be a playoff team.
nothing against Darnold but could you imagine if we trade down instead of up and picked Lamar with one of our first round picks?
His spleen is already endangered playing behind these chumps. Heck, my spleen begins to hurt within half-a-second after the snap, and the pocket collapses around the QB (or, a free runner is barreling in aimed at his torso). You put him outside and he at least has a fighting chance to run for his life, turtle, throw it out of bounds, etc., and maybe have space and time to complete a pass (that is if his WR's aren't jogging out a route, or falling to come back to the LoS as he scrambles.)
So this is where I start doing what I call Magical Math. How much time left ÷ how many points do we need × 7 = . . . but we can still win!
And one of them is doing better than the other. Unless of course you think their offense is all smoke and mirrors. If it is its pretty God damn good smoke and mirrors.
