Man that sucked. I have to believe that's a miscommunication and will chalk it up to playing with a bunch of backups. But jeez why is he looking for Daniel Brown on a 14 yard stop route there.
This is why I'm not celebrating the Patriots demise, I could see a team like Buffalo going in and beating them in the postseason.
Wow, that stuff can’t happen. All the time in the world and he makes that throw. Up until that point, Sam played well.
That half was Darnold in a nutshell. Carries the team even though he should be carrying them toward the nearest trash bin. And then loses his mind and throws a boneheaded INT. You can fix the bad teammates and coaches problem, though I don't think the Jets will. I don't know if you can fix the stupid throws. If Darnold were drafted by a competent team, I think he'd be a very good QB. But I don't think he's going to succeed here.
That's all on Sam. He does that I noticed. It's almost like he gets ahead of himself instead of seeing the obvious Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
After seeing the replay, that's exactly what it looked like. Well, either that, or Brown ran the correct route and Sam screwed up. . . But, seeing there was more space toward the middle, methinks that is actually on the TE.
I think a lot of it has to do with receivers not running their routes properly. But that right there? I think Darnold is going to be a brilliant qb that does boneheaded things like this every once in a while. Hopefully it decreases over time.
