Unfortunately this is a lot more like what I was expecting this season. Still not seeing anything about Lou to be excited about.
Good start against a bad team, but after getting dominated by a bad Kings team on the road there is no taking any team for granted.
Isles game on December 19 against Boston has been flexed to NBCSN. Brendan Burke will do play-by-play, so it won’t sound very different from being on MSG.
Good win for the good guys ------I'm not disillusioned and the rest of us should not be either its nice getting back to winning but unless the team makes a deal or 2 for offense we will be ousted rather early again------> trade deadline aint that far away its coming.
Lets make it 3 in a row tonight at Montreal. Greiss may have to stand on his head in this one as the Isles are playing a 3rd game in 4 nights tonight.
Bad game but you can't win them all. At 18-6-2 can we really complain that much. I realize that Lou needs to improve the offense come playoff time but for right now lets see them rebound vs Vegas on Thursday at Nassau.
We know the Islanders can play defense but ohhhhh wouldn't it be nice if this team could actually score some goals and win games walking away instead of all these 1 goal nail biters / close games ?
Unfortunately the last 5 games are likely indicative of what this team will be until we get a new player or two.
I see Josh Bailey is back on the milk carton. Another 16 goal season from a top line winger, how is that accepted at this level of hockey?
With everyday that goes by and no Trade I just shake my head. We are all well aware that this team is in desperate need of a finisher or 2 and some much needed offense yet still no moves , I dont get it because If they wait until draft day IMO and I hope I am wrong but I feel they will get screwed. It astounds me that they want to keep rolling with this current lineup
As I keep saying, there has been very little from Lamoriello that I have seen that wasn't either obvious, overpaying for mediocre talent, or being unable to correct the obvious flaws in the team. I just don't think he's a good GM at this point in his career. I see no reason to not believe that they will continue to outperform their talent because of Trotz, but will not get past the second round of the playoffs.
Eberle has been absolutely worthless. We were playing much better when Wahlstrom and Bardreau were out there.
