I am literally just looking at weather stuff now as it was a LONNNNNG nite that said it sure looks as if this storm is going to have the goods. Heads up all its time to start paying attention if you have not already ----> Fjay we might be dancing in the streets
Fjay I am not sure if anything is overdone or under done right now but the models have just about all been in a good spot today. I want to see what the over night runs show but even better would be the short term models that are almost within their range.
It’s a pretty sharp cutoff on who gets snow and who doesn’t. I hope you are in the game. timing, should start right around kickoff and once it set in it’s going to be snowing for a while.
Well as this event gets closer I sure would like to see a shift South on todays model guidance because much of the overnight guidance has shifted ever so slightly North = is this a trend ? I am not sure but it could be. A slight shift in either direction would effect everyone from the coast / NYC/ LI to us North of 287 in a big way. IMO this begins on Sunday but it ends late Monday night or Tuesday and it is yet to be determined if this will be wet , white or nada for most of us. Thoughts ? paging Fjay or anyone else pick up the white phone
Agree c, I think the best numbers are going to be around Albany. NYC still getting in the game, north jersey in a 3-6 range. There may be some mixing south of 84 that will hurt the totals but Sunday nite all Monday will be snow. I think.
Fjay I Fixed this for you " Sunday nite all Monday will be snow WE HOPE ". LOL going to be fun to track this one---> where is Batman ?
Fjay and others are you paying attention to todays runs ? --> in 12 or 18 hours we should all have a much better idea of what this storm could bring and where it will actually be developing off shore that said I expect the local weather peeps and channels to update and change their forecasts very soon. Latest Model runs ( and again they are only model runs that show what MIGHT happen ) have NYC and even central jersey getting in on this storm. They have been consistent and have shown the Hudson Valley and Catskils and Albany getting buried. Time will tell as the storm is still developing and not even off shore yet and a lot can change.
Everyone is on holiday routine or getting ready for the storm. I had to move up getting the tree from next weekend to today so we aren’t dragging thru 23” of snow. Tomorrow morning I have to test the snow blower, put up said tree and then relax until I get called into to the campus. Probably around halftime tomorrow.
