Adams needs thicker skin. They get trolled all the time on social media. Is it worth it to fight back? No. It's petty.
You would have thought that was obvious to everybody, seriously nobody could think Adams would go hunt out somebody's little brother for shits and giggles.
Jamal lost that "fight" besides "saved for later [emoji]" is what triggered Jamal. I don't think that qualifies as running one's mouth
I realize we live in a world where we have a 80 year old president trolling twitter 50 times a day. But ya know, Jamal could, ya know, ignore it LOL again what triggered Jamal Adams was "saved for later [emoji]" come on bro
But we know LSU alumni don’t ignore it. My guess is lil brother Carr knows it too. It’s 20 somethings on Twitter.
Yea. Right. Off the field? Hah. He's been one of the greatest off the field recruits and spokesman we've ever had. Jamal Adams stood alongside Maccagnan to help Macc land his players. Year after year. Jamal has been an awesome off the field face for our Jets as a cornerstone player. OBJ? What horseshit; Jamal dresses up in his suit and ties during the off-season, stays out of trouble and recruits for our front office as a big name player. It's sad. Adams was drafted a Jet and walked on stage SUPER EXCITED to be an NY Jet. He immediately called out VETERANS for being o.k with losing (for a young kid that's fearless and impressed me as a longtime suffering Jet fan). CELEBRATED the drafting of Sam Darnold on draft night. Stuck up for his head coach Bowles when no one else would (kid is a freaking leader off the field). And did everything in his power to convince Le'Veon Bell to come run with our Jets. Comparing him to OBJ off the field? That's weird to me. Adams has never been accused for paying a woman for sex because he's been nothing but a model citizen and if anything he got MAD when he found out he was on the trade block. That shows me that he cares. A lot. He loves it here. He's a true Jet. He did not want to leave New York. He plays and leads with PASSION. And you mean to tell me this is the type of player you all go after? Hah. Plz. Go harp all over guys like Chris Herndon and other YOUNG knuckleheads when comparing off field actions to "OBJ" and leave our #33 alone my favorite #33 since Ewing to be exact and yes, I'd be pissed if Jets traded me too I love this team and I can tell he does too his actions on and off the field really doesn't lie. He didn't want to be traded and ppl gave him slack for that? It's all just weird to me. Sam Darnold. Jamal Adams. Two players. Two leaders. A Franchise QB and a Cornerstone defender. I appreciate both of these kids they're going to become winners together and it's sad to see posts such as yours above. Did you even know that Jamal Adams had our entire defense pumped up heading into our gm vs the favored Raiders? And that there were spoken words before tipoff? And that it was Jamal Adams who felt disrespect how Oakland players were "too happy" to be here? Because if you did I'm confused by your above post no praise and all negativity.
I'm here to speak my mind, talk old school football and ask a few questions. Who was the last Jet regardless of position can be a DE, DT, NT, OLB, MLB, IMLB, CB, Safety, QB, RB, WR etc etc to ever... A.) Finish within top 5 rating (votes) for top 5 rookie at respected side of ball during his rookie season? B.) Make the Pro Bowl and tackle a Patriots mascot as only a 2nd year player (and no, it weren't a "popularity contest" the kid was all over the field making plays). C.) On the verge of making the Pro Bowl x2 and an 1st Team All-Pro as... Only a 3rd year player? D.) On the verge of breaking an All-Time (positional) NFL record for any single season category (in this case most sacks of any secondary player CB/FS/SS) as only a 3rd year player? I'd love to know. P.S these questions weren't directed towards 90% of Jet fans who love Adams but only towards the 10% who for whatever reason, don't. Just built in questions of mine.
Dude your overly emotional enthusiasm is so exhausting. Take it easy. If Bell and Mosely didn't take the best contract offers of their lives then they should have their heads examined. This isn't the NBA. Bell didn't come here because Adams lobbied for him. He came here because there was no other team that was willing to match his absurd contract demands for a player away from the game for so long and on the edge of the runningback graveyard. If he wasn't excited to be drafted #6 overall and even happier to see the franchise get a quarterback of the future then I'd be concerned. Just because he showcases it all over social media doesn't make him a one of a kind leader. Do you think Bilal Powell wasn't equally as excited to see Sam drafted? Does it mean less because he didn't post it on his Instagram story? OBJ doesn't get in trouble with the law either. I hope Adams keeps doing the same and I think he will. A lot of the social media bravado can get annoying. He almost nabbed himself a stupid 15 yard penalty this week for taunting. I'll stand by the comparison. I just hope it doesn't spill overboard. It was teetering that way and I can see it come back if we lose 3 of 4.
Kinda crazy that trolling a troll is a bad thing, I think it's hilarious. You wanna talk shit, expect to get shit back.
Huh? Sheldon Richardson won it in 2013? B) is a good thing? He injured that dude in the Pats mascot costume and he was hospitalized the day after. Whether it was intended as a joke or not it was a clown move. He's lucky he didn't break the dudes ribs and get sued.
You're hypothetical. First you use OBJ as a way of talking down on Adams off the field. And then of all players you use SHELDON FREAKING RICHARDSON as your one example of a drafted Jet with as much success at an early age as Jamal Adams. It's a joke. #6 pick turns into 2x Pro Bowler and 1x All-Pro (First-Team) doesn't lie after only 3 years. Sheldon Richardson is a crap example. He's not half the player impact wise compared to Adams and he's not 1% the leader both on and off the football field as Jamal Adams this kid is born to stand up and lead. I loved Jonathan Vilma he was awesome for us a tackling machine and athletic but was weak against the run with Robertson D-Slob playing in front I loved Vilma but not even Vilma (your user name) could impact our entire defense quite like Adams has. How can you not see it? Dude is generational he's going to reach Revis level in terms of All-Time great Jets secondary status future kids will create user names Jamal_Adams. And rightfully so. What he's doing without great CBs and without an outside pass rusher is scary. Let Jamal Adams roam behind a great OLB and forget about it we're looking at a future NFL DPLOY some people just don't see it yet.
Bro I answered the question you posed in A) regarding a rookie finishing top 5 in your phantom rookie rankings. Sheldon Richardson WON the whole damn category. The 2003 Jets were ranked 8th in points against, and 21st in yards against. They drafted Vilma and went to 4th in points against and 7th in yards against in 2004. Your just spewing bullshit over your man-love for Jamal Adams. He's a good player who has played elite for three games in a row. He was a HUGE part of the loss in Miami and whined like a baby when reports came out that teams were calling our general manager to trade for him. He still has a childish attitude at times and is extremely annoying on social media. Being loud and screaming from the mountain tops that you're a leader doesn't make you a leader.
Vilma was not weak against the run. He feasted in herms tampa 2. Seems like you only remember his short time being forced to play ilb in mangini’s 3-4.
Our rushing defense went from 28th in yards in 2003 to 5th in 2004 after we drafted Vilma lol. Get this. Vilma had more interceptions his rookie year than Jamal Adams has in his career.
