I think Gase took a 2nd hissy fit when fans had a banner to fire him...with that done he was out to prove everyone wrong (does this mean we need a plane and a banner for every losing streak? ..the Owners don't care..so Gase will respond if you attack his pride! Don't forget ..Gase lost to Miami as bad a team as Washington before the Fan Revolt When/if he beats the Raiders next week we should all take a bit notice...just a bit not crown him But right now he's a poor coach and has fair leadership with some talented players and a pretty goodDC in Williams, who either gets lucky winning and/or plays scrubs or teams rebuilding..
Lamar Jackson is doing this while our HC treats the training room like it’s a quarantined zone and players rehabbing are patient(s) zero about to start the zombie holocaust.
Or he was brought to his senses when the QB burst into his inner sanctum shouting he was mad as hell and wasn't going to take it anymore.
Let me be clear since I started this thread and the title then was NOT what the title is now. (Mod decision and change) I was just upset that this “Guru” was such a dud. The guy had zero creativity and adjustments and it burned me up. I’d love a win this week more than you know. I hate that Sam will likely have 3 coaches in 4 years. I hope Sam is so great, that he carries Gase.
I've been one of many who've wanted Adam Gase fired, however; not anymore. I've got to give him a chance as a young coach and given a chance behind a rebuilt offensive line too... because when we're scoring, football is fun and we're scoring on opening drives which is rare for us as a Jets franchise and my God is San Darnold looking great within this offense as of late. Darnold has been looking better than the Darnold of final 4-5 gms last year over this recent run. Gase gets my vote of confidence moving forward give him an offensive line to build around Sam Darnold and Bell and it's looking like Gase can produce an explosive offensive attack. Sam Darnold is beginning to look special again and that's what matters most.
Same. Perhaps some of us, myself included, need to swallow our pride and bit and admit we got too emotional and premature with all the "fire Gase" stuff. The injuries have been brutal, the offensive line is only now beginning to look AVERAGE, and team is improving each week.
Give Gase a 3 year extension for winning 3 in a row against 3 teams which have all lied down and died against the Jets. Doesn't take much to please a fan base trained and abused to accept mediocrity.
Or , maybe, just let him ride out more than 8 games of his 4 year contract before flying banners. Also we can cut down on the hyperbole .
I wanted Gase gone as much as anyone here after the loss in Miami. But, if the team continues to play like they have over the last 3 weeks, he deserves at least another year. I'll gladly admit I was wrong.
Our last three games are at Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and at Buffalo. That's a fair way to see if Gase deserves another year.
Literally no one said that, but if you cant recognize the good job Gase has been doing recently, including great play design, that's on you!
Who's saying anything about a extension? I think it's close to miraculous the team didn't come apart at the seams at times this season. I think it's impressive how he's plugging different guys in and getting results. Beat Cincy & Miami the team will be 6-7 and really WHO could've imagined that at times this season?
You act like we barely beat those teams. In the past 3 games the Jets have scored 102 points, 34 in each game, and have given up 47. Darnold has 7 TDs and 1 interception with a 115 QB Rating. That's not "teams that have lied down and died". That's complete dominance
