Baltimore was up by a zillion points so they didn't have to blitz at all. Jacksonville played against a different quarterback (Dalton)

The Bears are 1-2 against that weaker conference, and really could/should be 0-3 if the Broncos didn't get jobbed with them adding a second back on the clock for them.

The Bears defense hasn't been anywhere near elite this year. And while the offense sucks, they're tied for the fourth fewest giveaways in the league. So the offense is inept but it's not routinely giving away short fields.

The Raiders are doing better than the Bears and have a much brighter future with 7 times the cap space and double the draft assets including what will be two top-24 picks and 5 in the top 100. They're thrilled with the Mack trade.

I was referencing the first.game against Baltimore with Dalton. The Bengals are abysmal, but the point that was the Raiders have pretty much replaced Mack's production while improving the rest of the team. Mack has been neutralized this year by a couple of teams.

    Not neutralized. Hidden production.

The bears offense is absolutely giving up short fields. they are 29th in the league in yards per drive, that's 3rd to last. so they aren't moving the football and they are going 3 and out a lot.

    --
as for the Mack trade, I think they are stupid if they are "thrilled." Khalil Mack has 18 sacks in 24 games for the Bears. That's elite level production that will be hard to make up.

So far, the only thing the Raiders have cashed in on with that trade is Josh Jacobs, he looks like a good rookie RB. We will see what they do with the Bears 1st & 3rd this year but they are also sending their 2nd to the Bears in that trade.

The bears are just more proof that it doesn’t matter what else you do, if you miss on the qb you won’t be consistently competitive. If trubiski was living up to his draft cost the Mack deal would look good.

We will see which team ends up with the better situation. The Raiders entire defense is young, and it took them a year but the team sack totals are the same without the record breaking deal investment into one player.

Don't forget. Eddie Jackson is still waiting on his contract extension. And they have zero flexibility to improve that God awful offense and limited draft assets to do it that way.

18 sacks in 24 games is actual, visible production

No big time sacks or anything but Jamal Adams was all over the field against Oakland and played great in coverage against Carr. Led our defensive unit who only allowed 3 points today.

Sam Darnold. Great young Franchise player to build your offense around.

Jamal Adams. Great young Cornerstone player to build your defense around.

Together they'll create for a dynamic duo to truly... Build around (hello).

Sam Darnold and Jamal Adams are two blue chip leaders to build both your offense and defense around. For many of years to come too and anyone who feels otherwise doesn't deserve to be considered a fan of football, that much I do know.

Sam Darnold is our great hope but Jamal Adams is the heart and soul of our Defense as only a 3rd year (on the verge of) All-Pro.

He isn't "just a safety" either... He's utilized ALL OVER THE FIELD you blind morons (for the clueless one's who diminish his greatness with claims of "just a safety" lol.

#33 plays within the box. And also plays
behind the L.O.S (both sniffing out/stuffing the run and pressuring/rushing/sacking the QB). Lines up against opposing TE's and slot receivers in coverage over the middle of the field. Drops back into coverage as sometimes the last man of defense when asked to roam his secondary. Great play recognition and second to none in terms of natural instinct. A pure tackler one on one. Plays the game with effort, energy, aggression, toughness and heart/pride. What more can you ask for out of s defensive player, regardless of "position"? Because. Umm. He's impacting the game way more than "just an outside pass rusher" right now. A great off the field recruiter for opposing players as well (ask Bell and others).

How can "just a safety" do ANY OF THE ABOVE?

Anyone who doesn't want to see Jamal Adams retire a Jet (because he's just a safety) is someone, imo who doesn't want to feature one day a SB contending defense because Jamal Adams is going to become legendary and will become the Ray Lewis of our defense. Anyone like Q. Williams and Mosley are welcome to join but Jamal Adams is the centerpiece leader of our D moving forward and rightfully so.

I want him to be everything we as fans want him to be...but until he plays elite football against the elite teams i can't possibly feel that he is an elite player.

Good for you because he's still only a 3rd year player who

    A.) Went 6th overall.

B.) Ranked as a top 5 defensive rookie during his rookie season.

C.) Made the pro bowl last year as only a 2nd year emerging star.

D.) Will be selected to a First-team All-Pro this year as an NFL Star during only his 3rd season.

E.) Widely considered as the NFL's #1 overall Safety amongst 99.9% of NFL experts.

F.) Still developing, still learning and still has yet to tap into and reach full potential.

Play "elite football" against "elite teams" is such horseshit. Wake me up when you give Jamal Adams an ELITE COVERAGE CB and an ELITE OUTSIDE PASS RUSHER (team game) and then you'll see just how elite he truly is.

I bet Troy Aikman would have been the opposite of elite too if not for Emmit Smith, Michael Irving and big D's O-Line. Ala team game.

Or better yet, completely remove Jamal Adams from this defense and you'll realize how elite he really was. Because without him we wouldn't have jack shit right now.

Jamal Adams picks a twitter fight with Derek Carr's little brother, a high school Gym teacher from Bakersfield Christian high. yep you read that right

Jamal hits him with the elitist twitter burn "You need to focus on your lil high school job... you got class to teach tomorrow!"

This is the type of stuff that is so unnecessary. He still reminds me of OBJ off the field more than anyone.
