maybe not you but many here were saying safeties basically don't matter so we should trade adams because his position isn't important

    Ridiculous comparison.

Adams is the best player on the NY Jets.

It's really that simple. No guessing needed.

But the problem is that he plays one of the least impactful positions.

That's a lie because Adams plays all over the defense he plays within the box, he drops into coverage, he'll play the slot wr or TE he lives behind the l.o.s and stops the run also pressures the QB from multiple blitz's etc etc "just a Safety" is a blind mans view on Jamal Adams.

Give Jamal Adams an outside pass rush and some coverage CBs and he's instantly a defensive nightmare he's already an animal

Yes, but they are at least paid to do it and therefore have some gravitas, unlike a fan who just knows talent...

TGG: we should trade adams. safeties don't impact games. position isn't important. a safety can't have an impact like an edge rusher. we need draft picks

Adams: 2 sacks, 2 FFs 1 TD. literally singlehanded took over the game and had the same impact as an edge rusher

TGG: good he raised his value, now we can get more picks to try and get a real impact player

    GAC: Dafuq?

Some of us have been consistent in our support of Adams. :)

I even broke my own tradition in wearing an Adams jersey to the NFL London game two weeks ago, instead of my Martin one.

I've said before, once Adams is our biggest problem, we're golden.

Adams made a lot of plays, and the Jets probably wouldn't have won without him because the game was close enough for those plays to swing the outcome. At the same time, the defense still gave up 27 points and 4 TDs by Daniel Jones because there's only so much an elite safety can do.

End of the day...were talking about a team sport that truly depends on each player doing their job. 1 piece out of place can be the difference between loss of yards or a game winning touch down. Film dont lie...even when the defense guesses correctly superior talenent i.e. Barry Sanders can cause break downs on defense...but defensively you normally have 1 or 2 responsibilities during each play...u just cant be everywhere at once. So no one player is untradeable on defense (Khali Mack) especially when and if you can get pieces to improve the whole.

Mr. Mosely has moved to a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. Mr. Mosely has entered the Training Zone.

Jamal Adams is making you Jamal Adams critics look and feel really stupid.

For being "just safety" it's funny how after his defensive player of the week honors last Sunday he's already got two sacks this Sunday (and as others has mentioned he's ranked as the NFL's #2 pass rusher).

He stuffs the run, roams the flats, plays the nickel and opposing TE's, drops back into coverage, plays within the box and rushes the quarterback (all with fierce intensity) etc etc in other words he's ALL OVER THE FIELD ON DEFENSE but yet stupid, idiotic and clueless 'football fans' considers him "just a safety" lol it's really just laughable.

    * Top 5 rated Rookie defensive player during his rookie season.

    * Pro Bowler last year as only a 2nd year player.

    * On the verge of yet another Pro Bowl (x2) and a 1st team All-Pro during only his 3rd year.

And he's still improving, learning, very young and yet to reach full potential.

Give a Jamal Adams led defense some freaking coverage CB's and a stud outside pass rusher and he's the type of Franchise/Cornerstone defensive IMPACT PLAYER that can lead a defense to greatness.

Players like Jamal Adams is who you build a Superbowl defense around because he's a nightmare despite NOT being surrounded by good CBs/pass rushers.

If you're a football fan who doesn't appreciate and realize how special of a defensive football player #33 truly is? Well, then... You should go watch soccer, rugby or swimming imo.
