This is getting out of hand. Is the front office of this team really that pathetic? Are they truly that bad? Why should we continue to defend it, when it's morally wrong? At what point do your morals overtake your love of a team in which the people playing change every year, but the bad guys running it never change? It's a pickle.
What type of ppwk is he doing? Or any type of work for that matter? According to Gase, injured players are not even in the meeting rooms. It's like they are non-existent. That is the culture he has created.
I side w the team on this one.Enunwa is coming across as soft & unreliable. That said this injury shit w gase is a distraction & im really not sure what hes even trying to accomplish other than create controversy & piss off the locker room.
It was an analogy, champ. I fully believe that something sketchy is going on with this organization in terms of injuries. But there's nothing wrong with this. The dude chose to take a day off without telling anyone. Most people get fired for no call/no shows especially with bullshit excuses of "I had lunch plans."
You show up to work, or you call them and let them know you're not able to make it. My problem here is that instead of working around it with one of the team's captains, a consummate pro, the team decides to give him a max fine. Gase posts player fines for everyone on the team to see, which is the same shit he did in Miami. He's going to lose this locker room sooner rather than later, good thing our genius interim owner said he's fine for 2020.
This is now the third injury situation the team has mishandled this season, at this point you'd be foolish not to believe this organization isn't doing something wrong.
But he's on IR and physically unable to work, Ace. And Gase has made it clear that injured guys do not take part in team meetings, nor do they have much use to the team. Kind of mixed messages no? I agree with you regarding something very weird going on with this org and injuries. That's the real point in all this.
It isn't the front office, the coaches are ones responsible for handing out fines to players. This is all Adam Gase, he did this shit with fines in Miami too.
Really? That is really unreal. But keep in mind that Mr. Johnson already said he would be back next year, so it is on both sides is it not?
I’m old school Show up get paid etc...but This is dirty Give the guy a break. His career is over Adam Fucking Gase that’s who’s running this thing into the ground you don’t come out like a hardass when you have zero street cred Shit I bet even Parcells would work this out - and he’s a proven real winner punk ass Gase
He gets his paycheck in full and is still fully employed by the team. He's not on disability. That would mean he's getting whatever disability is at like 60% of his pay. His job is to come to the facility and rehab to the best of his ability to get back on the field. I mean posting fines on digital signage players seems extremely douchey. But I can't say whether NFL teams do or do not do this. Seems like this is a schmucks Adam Gase thing but idk maybe it's not. Either way. If it gets Gase a step closer to being fired then I'm all in.
Falco went full on gay for Q there for a second. I bet now that some time has passed, hes a little less Emo
I get it. As a fan of the team you don't want to rip them. You try to convince yourself that it's ok for them to make whatever decision they make. People need to wake up. The team is in the wrong.
No one is happy with Gase except for maybe Peyton Manning, Dowell Loggains and apparently Sam. Enunwa is in the wrong on this one though. In every way possible. Disappointing. Maybe the Jets should not have fined him, but who cares? 27k when you were given $20 million guaranteed is not worth crying about or going to Twitter about, especially if you actually did miss the treatments. Childish.
He got fined for not showing up for treatment. But there is something weird going on at One Jets Drive. This franchise needs a coffee enema...
Did Veterans Day just sorta sneak up on him? If one of my employees is a no-show for work, they don't work for me anymore. I like Q but I don't have a problem with the fine. For too many years here the inmates have been running the asylum.
I like Enunwa. But it's not hard to let your team know in advance that you will be out with your wife, and you had an emergency. I know if I am supposed to be at work and I dont call in, I get in trouble. It's not complicated. It literally takes less than 1 minute to tell your team/employer, "Hey I wont be able to make it tomorrow, bcuz my wife is a VETERAN and I am taking her out..." It seems like the Jets have a history of guys claiming injury, and coasting. Either way not a good look for team and player. Why do these players run to social media though? Call your agent, NFLPA, your wife... NM the wife part.
