In a lost season, I didn't understand the rush to get Mosely back. Its not like he's gonna improve the OL. They invested a lot of cash into this guy and they should have just IR'd him. Now that he's hurt again, they're still hesitant to IR him knowing full well the season is over. Smells like desperation to save face by an organization already known for bad medical judgement.
He was a grade A asshole, but one of the most gifted football players ever. Ridiculously talented, but couldn't stay off the booze. Actually, I'm being harsh. The alcoholism caused him to act like a grade A asshole. He may have been a decent guy if he didn't have that illness. But boy, could he play.
exactly. we know what mosely can do. he's not going to fix this season for us. it's best to let the younger guys like burgess and hopefully hewitt comes back soon play. i think avery is gone this offseason so seeting what hewit and burgess can do helps in that. plus we get cashman back next year. I'm not worried about ILB for us i just want to see mosely healthy
Seriously it maybe just in case he's healthy towards the end of the season for said "run"...what else reason could it be?

With Free Agency upon us, I was just thinking (and God willing he is healthy for 2020) but CJ Mosley will be the most underrated addition to the 2020 Jets. He played 3 quarters (plus a horrendous game against the Pats that shouldn't count as he clearly was not close to 100%) in the 2019 season. He looked great against the Bills. Imagine him back to his old form. The Jets will add other pieces on the O-line, WR, but Mosley could be the true game changer in 2020.
I agree. C.J Mosley as our Front 7's signal caller will improve our entire Defense under Gregg Williams with Jamal Adams roaming. And don't forget about the impact that a returning Avery Williamson who's still only 28 years of age will have, once having an opportunity of playing alongside of Mosley either. Williamson is more than just a role player too, he's an awesome IMLB, who like Mosley, also missed all of 2019. After coming off of a 120 tackle season (80 solo tackles with 6 tackles being for loss behind the line of scrimmage), 4 QB hits, 3.0 sacks, 2 Forced Fumbles, 1 Fumble Recovery and 1 INT along with 16 starts as a 1st year Jet (2018) I can not imagine his impact he'll have once playing behind Quinnen Williams and alongside of CJ Mosley and unlike in 2018, this time with Gregg Williams dialing up the plays and disguises. An IMLB duo or C.J Mosley and Avery Williamson behind Quinnen Williams with Jamal Adams roaming the defense and Gregg Williams calling the shots is something that excites me.
