I would say there's a better than 50% chance they trade Adams. He's a great player, but the Jets need a LOT of players. If they can get 2 1st round picks for him, then he's gone.

I'd love to get 2 firsts for Adams, but I doubt we will. His value isn't going up from here on out.

Trade ownership to the Rooney family? They're Irish... they like green!

Ya for someone you creates so much drama in the media, and has over hyped himself, then he should be 3 number 1s, easily

They couldn't get a 1st and a 2nd for him so I don't see any chance of two first round picks - he isn't a QB, OT or pass rusher

Expect a blast on Twitter from Jamal about this.
Don’t be surprised if he talks to petrozza about it too.

Correction: The asking price that Douglas didn't get was a 1st and TWO 2nd round picks, not a 1st and a 2nd. Still, I agree that there's no chance of getting two 1st round picks. I'd take a 1st and 3rd at this point.

I would imagine that Robby Anderson and Adams are almost certainly going to get traded in the offseason.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Bell moved as well. He's being absolutely wasted here and I can't see Douglas getting the OLine better quickly enough for Bell to make the kind of difference on the field that we all know he can make.

Anderson is a free agent so there's no moving him from here on out. We had our chance.

I wouldn't mind moving Bell but I fully expect three new starters along the offensive line. And I think Joe D would probably prefer a whole new batch of 5.

From 2016 to 2017, the Vikings replaced the entire starting five and went from 8-8 to 13-3. In the same time frame, the Rams replaced three of five starters and went from 4-12 to 11-5.

It's not unprecedented and easier to bring in a whole new group than you think. It's just extremely important to get them to mesh and have them all playing together throughout camp and preseason. That's one of the problems our entire line is in shambles right now. They played like three snaps together as a unit in the preseason and they're all hurt now anyways so I guess it doesn't matter.

The chemistry in point of attack double teams to get off the defensive tackle to get to the linebacker might be the most team work on the entire football field outside of quarterback and receiver.

Wouldn't this be a very good reason to replace the head coach and offensive coordinator and maybe the OL guy sooner rather than later?

Remember the offensive genius HC thought it was a great idea not to have Bell work with the line before the regular season started.

So we trade Adams then we need another saftey? We would just be creating another hole in the roster by doing this...What is with this fanbase and wanting to trade the only good players we have..,We fail in the draft year after year why would you want picks for Adams.

Two firsts...we would end up drafting a bust Definsive linemen and a Injury prone bust Cornerback..Im good ill stick with Adams

If Douglas is going to draft busts, we're going to be terrible regardless of whether we keep Adams or not. Whereas if Douglas drafts well, our best path to winning entails trading Adams for picks.

Its the ownership that plagues our drafts...Dont think for a second they dont have input because they do..

As far as I know, there's no evidence ownership regularly interferes in our drafts.

Historically, the Jets have been too chickenshit to make risky blockbuster trades of any significance. After seeing what happened before the trade deadline, there is little reason to think this approach has been altered. The Jets have always preferred to destroy the franchise one draft pick at a time.

I suspect Douglas will trade for and sign the entirety of the Eagles roster.

    Trading revis wasn’t a blockbuster?
    Keyshawn?
    John Abraham
All these guys netted first round picks.
