Shurmur is a moron - you burn a timeout in the fourth quarter when you're losing by 8 points challenging a borderline PI that wasn't called? Has he not been paying attention for two months?
Not that they were coming back to win this anyway, but LOL. Anyone who bet the under at 48.5 (or who was hoping for a late Giants TD and a backdoor cover at +6.5) just threw a brick at their TV.
I’m calling it now. Giants 34 - 17 Jets. Jones 330 passing yards, Leonard Williams 2 sacks. One of the sacks being a strip sack fumble retuned for a Td . Why not ?
I was just waiting for the Giants to score a touchdown on that drive and secure the backdoor cover of 6.5. Luckily they didn't and I didn't have to throw a brick through my TV! Over/unders are too tough for me. Too much shit like that happens.
Just speechless over the state of NY (well, tri state area) football as a whole now. Maybe Arnsparger/Holtz was worse? This is the absolute PITS
Remember way back in the day when the joke was the best quarterback in New York played for the Knicks?
The State of NY Football isn't very good. The best thing about that game last night was the stat about the Dallas OL. 31% of their salary cap. The Giants actually played hard but at the end of the day the Dallas OL was like watching a hammer on a nail.
Funny that the teams with quarterbacks from that draft class have built good offensive lines surrounding their franchise QB's. Dak and Wentz. Weird how Goff suddenly starts to struggle as his offensive line regresses this year..
It was really dumb only because the NFL decided to allow challenges but not enforce the rule. In fairness to Shurmur it wasn't borderline. It was obvious and egregious.
It is dumb. But coaches need to adapt to it and stop challenging it. It is what it is. They're not getting reversed. The NFL did it to shut the Saints up. I do suspect that we'll see some obvious ones overturned in the playoffs but that's it.
Goff has had a little choke in him since he arrived in the NFL. The Rams O revolves around Gurley. When Gurley has struggled Goff has been asked to do more. Gurley averaged about 20 touches a game the last 2 years. He's down to 15 this year. I think it's more a pitch count than an OL issue. Goff is the 4th best QB in a very good division.
I haven't been a big fan of Goff since before the Rams traded up for him. The contract they gave him is absurd and honestly his production has shocked me at this point in his career. I tend to agree with you on that though. We're really going to start to find out about Goff in the next couple years. They gave him and Donald the biggest contracts in the NFL, or close to it. They will also re-up Jalen Ramsey in the offseason, and the pieces around him will start to crumble because there won't be any salary cap left to build with nor draft capital the next two years. They better hope Andrew Whitworth can play at a high level into nearly his 40's.. They're going to turn into the Falcons really quickly.
Yep. I don't really watch college ball all that much, but he was fun to watch for sure. At least he had brains enough to know that he wasn't NFL material. Remember Andre Ware? Ooof. I don't mean to imply that Andre Ware had no brains, more like his talent didn't translate and it just didn't work out.
