These London games are just awful. One team also never shows up. Bad tackling, tons of penalties, bad special teams play (blocked extra point + bad snap leading to no attempt). I understand the NFL wants to expand the game and rightfully so. But they need to schedule these better and figure this out better. Out of the box idea that they'd probably never do; I was thinking about a universal bye week maybe mid season. Especially if they add another two regular season games. Teams get to lick their wounds, re-assess where the team is at, extra practice time. If you structured it around the trading deadline you could also get more activity and give teams a chance to get another QB in if they lost one for the year.
Neither will the owners or the TV stations. But if it'll make the product better in the long run I'm all for it.
The Gardner Minshew II hysteria is presumably dying out now. Shouldn't be any question that St. Nick (i.e., Nick Foles) will be starting next game (in two weeks after the bye).
I'll curious to see if teams try to get him, Kyle Allen, what happens with Mason Rudolph and a lot of the backup QB's playing decently that are under contract. Remember when Matt Flynn threw a bunch of touchdowns in a meaningless week 17 game and got a nice contract from the Seahawks?
Minkah Fitzpatrick continues to play great for Pittsburgh, just getting a 97-yard pick six to tie the game against Indy.
Vinatieri misses another game-winning field goal attempt as the holder puts it down with the laces facing him.
Dolphins need to seriously start considering Burrow or Chase Young as their pick in the draft next year. Between the Jets and the Bengals, you have to consider the Dolphins now an underdog for the #1 pick. To Flores' credit he has this collection of no-name players competing and playing to the best of their ability. That's in direct contrast to Gase who has a much better team but has completely lost it.
They are awful but I like 9 am football games they beat terrible pregame shows as background noise before the 1pm games.
Browns look like crap so far today and I have no clue who's playing QB for Denver....I thought they may make a run now since they have a weak schedule.
The Packers have 84Y of offense thru three quarters!? Am I reading that right?? WTF did the whole team die?
Well, nice to see that Cleveland continues to underwhelm, this time against a quarterback with exactly zero games of experience. And this is the first time in NFL history that 3 QBs with the same last name won in the same week.
