Are you talking about Joe Flacco? The guy whose team won 58.9% of the games he started and two thirds of their playoff games? The guy who holds the NFL record for most playoff games won on the road? And you're comparing that to a guy whose team has won 29.4% of theirs? Then yes, we're operating on a much different definition of what a franchise quarterback is. Flacco started out as the NFL rookie of the year. He was a Superbowl MVP. There is a reason he was their franchise quarterback - he won games! Simply planning on a quarterback to run a team for years would make every number one quarterback for every team an FQB. Production must absolutely be considered. In the sorry history of the Jets have there really been thirty or forty or so franchise quarterbacks that your definition would dictate?
I'm worried. It should be a good, competitive game something we haven't seen much of from our guys so far this season. The Jets can't get dominated by Miami right? RIGHT?!!!
Wins isn’t a QB stat, it’s a team stat. Those Baltimore teams were infinitely better than any Jets team in the past decade. Flacco was never an elite QB, he was a guy the Ravens built their franchise around, just like the Jets are going to do for Sam.
Jets are the better team. Simply put, if they show up like they did against Bills and Cowboys we will win. If they decide not to play hard for Gase then we will lose. This game isn’t really about what Dolphins will do. It is about which Jet team would show up
Just came back from Meadowlands Fan Duel Sportsbook. I just bet $20 for Jets to cover 3.5. This should guarantee a loss right?
I'll be curious to see how the defensive line performs. Say all you want about Leo but he did get double teamed a lot. Will teams double team Quinnen, Folo or Phillips now? Will they try to go solo allowing these 3 to get busy in the backfield?? Interested in seeing this.
The game is in an hour and it feels like I'm in limbo with the excitement. This is a cant win game for the dolphins. If they are actually trying to tank for the #1 draft pick then beating us would be a disaster for them. If we lose I won't know whether to laugh or cry about it. Maybe both.
Does anyone in the NFL care about this game? lol I would rather take another loss and put pressure on the lame owners to admit their mistake hiring AG if we just manage a meaningless win maybe Darnold feels more confident beating Fitz...but will the Team really win for Gase? Guess we find out at 1PM
We deserve to get Adam Archuleta. The NFL will continue to punish us with this garbage combination until we draft a decent offensive player.
