What's the Scarlet comment in reference to? Does that go with another post? He's a winner, and I'm sure that losing is getting to him. He could become a problem I guess, but I don't see it at this point.
i hope not. only deals we shuold make is seeing if we can dump TJs contract or seeing if we can give up a 5th or later to get a young talented player at a position of need. Leo was the only player we should have dealt and that's been done. I'd be pretty upset if we gutted the team and traded away robby and adams and bell.
I hear ya! I love Adams. Some of the other posters have points, however, about Adams possibly getting tired of the losing, SS not being a critical position, etc. I will be totally pissed if they give him away. I will be unhappy if they trade him and get a haul in return, but then Douglas better hit on every pick and those players better have some of the same fire, character, hating to lose, leadership qualities, enthusiasm, energy, and talent that Adams has. If Douglas can do that, I will be able to get over trading Adams, but only then. I'm just so sick of the losing and incompetence! If trading Adams helps turn this team around faster and they start winning, I'll be able to accept and deal with it. If not, then that will probably be the final nail in the Jets' coffin for my fanship.
I don't want him picking players to fit Gase's system, however. I want Gase GONE! If we are to have any hope for the future, that is #1. With Gase gone, we can have hope regardless of how many draft picks we have or whom Douglas drafts (as long as they're not DTs), but with Gase here, there's no hope.
the issue is nobody hits on every pick. adams is young, at the top of his position, a leader, and on his rookie deal. the chances of getting someone back of his caliber is slim to none even if we got 2 1sts back. Our defense is actually playing well despite lacking Cbs and an edge rusher. adams is a big part of that. we are also down mosely all year and williamson. even lost our 3rd ILB. we were starting last week our 4th and 5th ILBs the only 2 left on the roster one being a 5th round rookie and 1 we picked up after they were waived during preseason and still our D looked good. we shouldn't be looking to shred the D. we need to look to improve the offense starting with the o-line
Dallas isn't giving up 2 #1 picks for Adams. No way the Jets should unload him for any less. So there's that.
rumor is the cowboys say he's not worth a 1st and 3rd I don't see this happening either but maybe it's more false hope because i'd hate to see him go
Could just be them negotiating in public. Rich Eisen said earlier all they were doing now is crunching the numbers
