We might as well trade him for something before he walks in FA.

    Then I ain't moving him.

If Sanu a 30 years old WR on his third team goes for a #2 then Robby is worth a #1.

    There's always room for improvement.

KC is gonna need more firepower if they want to break through against that Pats defense this season. Robby playing with Mahommes looks like a marriage made in heaven.

I don't buy that there is any trade market for Leo he sucks and he's making millions. Who wants to trade a high pick for hidden/zero production making millions? The Jets best bet to move Leo is include him in a bundle with one of their high picks for say a Von Miller.

Or trade for a 26 years old speed demon making chump change for his position? Can Sanu do what Robby did to the Dallas defense?

If Sanu is worth a 2 Robby is worth more. If the Jets give away Robby for less they're chumps.

I can't see Robbie getting on the field in KC if Hill, Watkins, Kelce are healthy. I don't see them going empty backfield with Mahomes a little gimpy. They have plenty of fire power.

I could see them making a trade for a CB maybe PP if the Cardinals will deal him.

    The overrating of Robby continues.

Well then 2 things IMO of course 1st is you wont be moving him because I would be shocked if anyone offers a #2 never mind a # 1 and we risk losing him for nothing at the end of the year. Again some people on this board believe Robbie Anderson is worth more than he is again IMO the guy is a very average WR on a team with no depth at the position

MBK ---I get it and I am in the same boat. We cat just give the guy away ( not because of his talent ) but because the team is so limited at the position

Trading him depends on the plans of the front office. If they are going to build through free agency, I say trade him for whatever you can get. IF building the draft is the plan, keep him and get a compensatory pick when he walks.

You didn’t say 3rd, you said 2nd, my b. The round isn’t the point, my argument still holds for a 2nd rounder as well. Stephen hill, Devin Smith...I’d gladly take Robby as a proven commodity. Most likely they trade him for a 4th or 5th rounder, and that draft prick will be lucky to stick around in the NFL, or be a permanent special teams player.

To be fair, it seems to be one poster. The least credible one at that.

Jesus fucking Christ. What is this?

That Jets past GMs sucked at the draft in the past cannot possibly mean [current Jets GM will suck at the draft in the future too.]

On top of that - Jets do need a lot of high draft picks - within 100, preferably. If Robby goes, and Jets draft LT (1), C (2) and LG (2), I would call it a good trade. Jets did very well drafting OLs with high draft picks after all. (D'brick and Mangold, for instance.)

We all know this is not enough, but I believe Jets can draft for defensive depth in the subsequent 3rd and 4th round picks. (LB/CB/S) Aren't we ignoring something? Oh yeah. We are. We are absolutely lacking in offensive skill players, but they deserve high draft picks, which Jets can't afford to spend at this particular draft. Seriously, if Jets do come away with the likes of Andrew Thomas or Austin Jackson (1) and Tyler Biadasz (2) I would take that trade. Jets will still have 2nd round pick to address a decent offensive skill position pick (i.e. WR or TE) with that pick.

    Exactly. For an (over)simplification:

    ddddddddddddddddGM is goodddddGM is bad
    Trade for PicksdddddddWINddddddddLOSE
    Trade away PicksdxxddLOSEddddxdddLOSE

Having said that, this doesn't apply when you're a good team that needs an extra player or two to push you over the top. But we aren't that kind of team.

They couldn't beat NE last season when they had home field advantage and their offense was the best in football and New England's defense didn't look like it could be the best ever.

They're gonna need more firepower to get through NE this season.

Robby has struggled against NE with the Jets but that's as a #1 facing Gilmore. In KC he'd be facing the Pats #2, #3 guys with Reid calling the plays. He could put them over the top.

Re-sign him. Get rid of as many of the trash players as possible. Rebuild the o-line.

If Darnold can't get him the football then I'm sorry to say he's not the QB we hope he is.

in fairness to Darnold = if some people / you and others are over rating Robbie Andersons abilities , then maybe its not Darnolds fault that Anderson is not seeing or catching more balls as maybe Anderson ( has speed as we all know and at times he cam run by people ) but maybe he cant get off press coverage easy enough or run a slant or possibly not run a decent route that is IF he does not give up on it in the first place ? Time will tell Tuesday will be here soon enough
