I am revoking my fanship of this organzation. It was a fun ride in the early 2000s and the late 2000s. We mainly had a competitive team to field. Since 2010, we have been utter shit on a stick. Nothing but a waste of passion, time, and energy for the last 9 years. Fuck everything associated with this team. Maybe Sam is the guy, maybe he isn’t. But I won’t be here to find out. After you think it can’t get any worse, your anointed QB throws for a god forsaken 3.9 Quarterback Rating. That’s right, a 3.9 Quarterback Rating. This is rock bottom folks and it isn’t getting better any time soon. This is a sunk ship and any player you even remotely like on this team won’t be here in a few years. Any players recently drafted or will be drafted will go to waste. The Jets are the team where players go to die. I’m not staying around to waste another 5-10 years for this team to do what it last did 9 years ago. The writing is on the wall. Get out while you still can. The NFL is only going downhill and is not worth your time, money, and energy. The success this team had in 2009 and 2010 will not be replicated in your life time. Don’t continue. Stop hating your life watching this team and move on. Peace.

Actually it was a 3.6 QB rating. But I feel you. I'll stay a Jets fan for now, but I'm not going to criticize anyone who bails.
It certainly is an emotional kick in the balls every week. It seems that every other team that sucks hours on to get better at some point. But we just continue to suck. I miss the Rex days. Two AFC championships seems like it will be the highlight of my 35 year support. But it's too hard not to care. I wish I could.
I am almost there myself. I've been loyal to a team that has CONSISTENTLY shit on us as fans. Without reason. It’s nearly impossible not to care. But it’s just been one heart ripped out after another. Completely not giving a shit and not even turning the tv on Sunday seems like the only option. Maybe one day itll be at least bearable to be a fan of this team.
No hate here OP. I'll be 46 soon and this team has been almost entirely miserable to root for. I still watch because my Dad was and is a fan from day 1 (Titans). Watching with him, going to games with him or talking to him during the games will always be some of the great bonding times of my life. I think once I lose him (no time soon I hope) I'll just move on from them and be a football fan but not invest in the Jets anymore.

For me its not just how inept its become for the jets but also how flawless & perfect everything goes for a classless cheating team like the pats & their unbearable fan base. Watching the worst case scenario unfold w the Jets simultaneously w the pats year after year..it just cant get any worse.Till next season.
The schedule really lightens up the rest of the way, so I don't expect any other games like this. However, tonight was a test to see how close this franchise is to the best, and the answer is NOT CLOSE AT ALL. Miles and miles away. That is what is so frustrating and upsetting. Jets fans want to win the Super Bowl, and tonight showed they are YEARS away. And the player who gave us hope (Darnold) looked flat out lost and horrendous. Tough night...........

I gave up on them a long time ago. The games become infinitely more watchable when you do so while laughing at them rather than getting mad at their ineptitude. If they show up and play well, then I'll get into the game. Otherwise, they're usually good for a few laughs.
