I agree that it will be tough for the Jets to be drafting in the top 10. As far as I'm concerned, it's almost a no-lose scenario. If they wind up winning 8-9 games, then I'll enjoy them winning, it will mean that we have a number of players that can help us going forward, and it probably will mean that Gase isn't as awful a HC and OC as many posters here think. If we do stumble into a top 10 draft pick, then Douglas will get some good chances to add great talent to the team and fill some holes, and it could mean that Gase will be fired. If Sam and other key players stay healthy and we wind up with a top 10 pick, then Gase probably isn't the HC we need, and hopefully Chris Johnson and or Douglas will fire him and move on.
What would it take to get AJ Green? He's currently injured and on the last year of his deal so what are we looking at? A fourth round pick? Possibly a fifth? A healthy Green + Robby + Crowder + Bell sure looks great on paper. Von Miller seems like a pipe dream but I keep on seeing his name thrown out there. I'd love to see both of these guys on the Jets.
Theyre both old depleting talents that will both be retired when/if this team gets good.Same deal as Trent Williams
