"Win those two games and I am running naked in downtown Madison, NJ" ? I being a partial Jet fan can not speak for the rest of the board, but really? What about the children? If this does happen, are you going to have this recorded? Nobody can't say you are not a true Jet fan.
I think I see who you want to replace Gase with and I do agree with you on this. The difference between winning and losing in the NFL is not that big. So since the Jets do have a chance of winning this game, I disagree with your premise they can't.
Trust me when I tell you this, Belichick will not underestimate the Jets. My only concern as a Jet's fan is that we had to blitz to get to Prescott. Greg Williams and the defense will need to disguise their blitzes because Brady tends to be good against them. Also, the Pats left tackle is out, so teams have been pressuring there. But their right tackle is actually playing worse, and hopefully, Greg Williams will realize this.
The Jets can definitely win this game. I have broken down what I think the Jets have to do in other posts, so I will not bore you here. The Patriot's defense might have its 1st real challenge going against an accurate quality QB. It is vital, very important that the Jets OL shows up. This will probably be a low scoring game, so it is important for Sam to be patient and not allow Pat's defense to beat them.
I thought I was already on the dark side being a Pats fan. Look I have mixed emotions about this game and I do hope it is a competitive game and the refs don't decide it like on MNF. If the Pats lose this game, a side of me being a Jets fan will be happy. Just make sure when you go tailgating you don't drink too much. Have a good time and eat like a pig! I want you to be alert and sober so you can report back effectively after the game lol. Ok just for you, go Jets!
One legit question, where was this playbook against Buffalo week 1? Was it always there but Gase didn’t really want to use it against Bills secondary? Because this was the playbook we saw on the preseason and seemed gone vs. the Bills.
Are we likely to try and run the ball a bit more or will Sam still be able to make as many passes against these guys?
We played a really legit defense and Sam was sick with mono. Out of the 5 QBs to go up against Buffalo this year, Sam had the best game and was a couple inches away from connecting with Robby on two deep touchdowns.
Should be a much better game this time around. Even if we lose, as long as we make it a game, I'm good.
Unfortunately their 0-4 start put them in a position where they have to win this game if they want to get back in the playoff race. I don't think they can save their season at 1-5.
I disagree. Winning this game allows them a little wiggle room later down the year during the 6/7 game stretch after Jacksonville. Lose on Monday and there is little to no room for mistakes.
Maybe but I would feel more confident at 2-4 especially since this looks like a down year for the AFC. The Pats and Bills have the two best records in the conference. Many teams have 2,3,4 losses. Like you said at 1-5 there is little to no room for mistakes. That is a tough spot for any team to be in. The "easy" schedule coming up usually ends up not being so easy. Teams like the Raiders, Jaguars, Giants, Steelers, and Bills will be tough games IMHO.
