Was a pretty good game for the offense today. My only real complaint is that we could have run the ball a little more in the second half (especially on that last drive). We completed some nice passing plays - but you have to try and end the game on that last drive by killing the clock.
All I can surmise so far is that the two games with Darnold against very good teams showed me something. Would have been two wins if we had a kicker. It also showed me that Sam is the real deal, and Gase’s play calling is far more effective with a no kidding QB. Not great but not bad for a team with so many holes.
Let's see, the coaches were the same, line, receivers, defense were the same, same bad officials. One thing different, a professional QB. When are fans going going to realize that players win and coaches are along for the ride.
Dallas is good but not very good. Buffalo on the whole is fool's gold, but their defense is elite. In the two games Darnold's played, I'm happy enough with the results. But more so than any of the other second year QBs, the jury's still out on him.
Not hard to believe the offense was so bad the last three weeks considering the QB for those 3 games is now applying for stock boy positions at his local wal mart.
All week people were talking about how good Dallas pass rush is and how good their LBs are. Sam shredded them up and down the field all game. He made one bad throw in the redzone (crowder possibly ran the wrong route on a hot read) that would have iced the game
it’s ok, you can be optimistic. He’s that good. Take a fema blanket and a cup of coffee and have a seat with the rest of us. The waits over. We’re all saved now.
I'm in a dickish mood, so I'll point out he made two bad throws in the red zone. On the last drive on third down, he didn't see a wide open Anderson for what would have been a TD and instead threw incomplete to Crowder. That forced us to kick a FG, which kept Dallas in it.
Agreed. Bad decision and that pretty much ices the game if he makes that throw. I know we are being picky though but it still needed to be called out.
You gotta give credit to Gase and this team. Many could have easily fallen apart with the situation we were handed. Guys stayed positive and leaders like Bell and Adams consistently pushed guys around them. We could have easily looked like shit with Darnold back and being 0-4. But they came out firing on all cylinders and had one hell of a game. Proud of this team
I don’t know. I’m currently watching a third string 1AA qb rip the Chargers to shreds. Maybe coaching has a little to do with it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nah. You see, there’s no slack for coaches with this team. None. Sorry. Gave too many guys too many chances. Bad second half. Partly Darnolds fault for a couple of shitty throws, but the lack of adjustments and questionable play calling was glaring. Up 12 in the early 4th with one of the best backs in the game and you don’t even try a run? Not buyin it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
