Eberle claimed yesterday that tonight's game was a "must win" game for the team. Now what? This could spiral out of control very quickly.
Well its not time to panic ( yet ) but it will be soon. This team is NOT playing well at all. The Islanders will start winning the close / low scoring games but if they continue to allow 4 or 5 goals each nite it will be a very long season as this team can not score goals. They might have changed the power play coach but these are the same exact players as last year so to think they can magically find the back of the net with pucks is a pipe dream .
Will I take it? Sure. Does it make me change my view that this season is going to be less successful than last season was? Hell no. And can someone please explain to me why Islanders coaches insist on putting Barzal in the shootout? He is terrible at it.
