That's a TD But we gotta get those commercials in That could've been video reviewed and called a TD in 20 seconds
The pass interference review is pretty stupid at this point. Blatantly obvious penalties aren't getting called, making it impossible for coaches to know when they should challenge. Not sure why Aikman is slurping Jones and the Giants so vigorously. He's missing his weapons, of course, but the fact is that Jones has been terrible in this game with the exception of a few passes (including the TD pass).
Same reason there was a Baker Mayfield commercial during the game. People trying to milk a dying storyline as long as they can.
amazing the love for the cheats around the NFL they let a blatant PI go ... not to mention ASJ loses the ball at the goal line its a fumble touchback, for the cheats ... yet when they do it its a TD
I find it remarkable how much the media is making this Daniel Jones guy look better than he is. In the last 3 weeks starting, he has thrown 3 TD to 7 INT. Yet today I open the news and all the headlines are things such as "Daniel Jones shows promise despite rough game" or "relax giant fans, Daniel Jones is still your guy" It makes ZERO sense to me. A lot like how much the hyped the Browns before this season
Ever since the draft, the media has been getting its kicks (and clicks) by aggressively pushing the narrative that Eli's washed up and Jones must replace him ASAP. Now that Eli's been benched, the media has to cover its ass by absolving Jones of blame for his poor play. Otherwise, the media looks like boobs for pushing so hard for him. After having pushed Jones as ready to start, the media can't admit that maybe the Giants should have waited a little longer to start this guy. On the other hand, it's a fair point that it's difficult to assess Jones without a running game and with all his receivers out.
This is exactly what is happening. It's incredible. Other than 1 or maybe 2 throws last night, Daniel Jones looked really bad. Yes, he's a rookie and I'm not expecting him to come out taking down the Patriots in the 3rd or 4th start of his career, but these articles are ridiculous. Yesterday would not have made me feel more confident as a Giants fan
Given the media's herd mentality and insatiable desire for clicks, what's the over and under and how long before the media starts calling this guy a bust? LOL.
IMO d. jones was OK under the circumstances. few bad reads against the pats but he had ZERO players around him. his last 2 games were against tough D's so its expected.
If he plays poor against Arizona with 10 days to prepare I can see rumblings of it and then I believe they are @Lions, vs Dallas, @nyj, @Chi, vs GBP. Not a cupcake schedule of 6 games.
This morning on the radio and on Twitter, Giants fans saying he had no weapons and you can't judge him on solely bc of that. Those are the same ones that said we could not use that excuse for Darnold last season. The hypocrisy man!
