Ouch. Sorry Brook!...until the Jets start looking like a pro football team, I have a tough time seeing wins. I might take the them covering the points...
Not with that offensive line. Right now we maybe...maybe can beat Miami. This is looking 1-15, 2-14. Cowboys are on another universe compared to us
One could hope this is the week. Almost feels like week 1 all over again. Like the start of a new season.
I would agree with you if you change "don't" to "do". I just want to see the team make any kind of improvement from the last game.
Prior to Dallas, they beat the Bears, Vikings, and Broncos, and lost to the Eagles. Chicago has the 30th ranked passing offense in the league. Minnesota has the 29th ranked passing offense in the league. Denver has the 19th ranked passing offense in the league. Against Philly, they gave up 34 points and Wentz threw for 160 yards and 3 TDs. Against Dallas, they gave up 21 points and Prescott threw for 463 yards and 2 TD. Looks to me like a passing defense that is truly ranked in the middle to bottom half of the league but faced poor passing offenses prior to Philly, which started their slide
What is that they say about insanity being the act of doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? Brook, I love you, but I just don't see it.
"Darnold still hasn't proven anything when healthy"...... There are some folks here, in the media, and the NFL that have anointed him a star QB already. I think part of it is that folks WANT him to be a star QB they will assume the best. I am with u and still a bit unsure as to how he will evolve with the jets. However, we all have to realize that he was injured for a few games last year, did not have the best staff and players around him last year and STILL doesn't, and he is still only 21-22. I would say he absolutely HAS to at least duplicate his effectiveness from the last 4 games last year for the rest of this year. In fact he really should play better than that for the jets and the fans to be totally confident going forward. Of course the limitations of the OL will be a big negative and hopefully won't get him killed. its a tough spot for sure as it always is for the jets.
I think people who anoint him as a star QB are just as dumb as the ones who say the guy sucks ass and we need a new QB in this years draft. IMO, there have been more WOW factors and signs that he can be our guy than boneheaded plays where you are left scratching your head asking wtf is he doing. He has still only played what, 13 games? I am just happy to have him back and can evaluate what we actually have with #14 over the final 12 games. I don't see a reason why he cannot continue what he did over the last 4/5 weeks of the season in '18. If that doesn't happen and we don't see progression from Sam, Gase is as good as gone and 2020 will be the make it or break it year for Sam.
the Cowboys could play without both of them and start 3 guys and they are still better than our 5 guys lol
The place will be absolutely full with Cowboy fans so yes this will be the next best thing to a home game for the Cowboys. Also I think anyone who thinks or posts that the Jets could win this game needs to have a mandatory drug test .
