It's a perfect trap game for them and a great way for us to start turning around this season. If Darnold wasn't starting, we would get obliterated. Now I think we win this one. And I think Herndon coming back will be HUGE
Herndon back is a big plus, also Sam buying some time and quick release trying to make up for this terrible oline
3rd time is the charm right? Hope you're right. For the first time since week 2 I am actually excited for football Sunday. What a brutal month it has been.
It depends how rusty and recovered Sam/Herndon are and if CJ is fit to play. If all 3 are somewhere near their best then we have a good shot. I think the OL will be better with Sam there (they can hardly be worse really) and Herndon gives him that big target we have needed. Then it is down to the coaching and game planning and that's the million dollar question.
Hope you are right. I would love to walk out of MetLife looking at all of the disappointed/pissed off Cowboys fans but I don't think the Jets have much of chance. Dallas coming off two losses will be desperate to get back in the win column.
The Jets better damn well be playing with desperation also! We are winless, playing at home, and finally have most guys back.
We've got an offensive genius who's now successfully lulled the rest of the NFL to sleep. Now we got 'em right where we want 'em! Actually I could definitely see the Jets win this game. The season is lost already in terms of playoffs and real success and all that but this would really be a nice spot to turn things around a little bit and at least start the climb out of the laughingstock zone towards respectability. And imho it all starts with the QB/OL. Those units just have to do a little bit better than they've been doing. I feel like actually the entire rest of the team has got some promise but those two indescribably-critical areas have completely let us down thus far.
0-5.. Darnold may be back, but the OLine still hasn't shown up this season so the real challenge is to get Sam in and out of this game in one piece.
Tell me about it! We have Sunday Ticket at my house and we make every Sunday an event with food and family. Last weekend I was watching other games while the Jets were on. That's the first time in a LONG time that I've done that. I even stopped myself midway through the game because I didn't even fully realize what I was doing. That was an upsetting moment. Having Darnold back is a much needed jolt. Getting guys like Herndon and hopefully Mosley back will be even more of a jolt. I'm excited as shit for this Sunday!
Curious to see if we make any more OL changes. Alex Lewis had a very good game in place of Kelechi, who has been abysmal this season.
I can’t see any way we beat a team that has two very good pass rushers playing a lame, safe offense consisting of a bad OL and playcaller. I’m happy Sam is back but I’d be thrilled if we score even 10 offensive points.
Sure the Jets are desperate but Dallas is much better team. I hope the Jets surprise me and pull off the upset. I would love to see Cowboys fans leaving MetLife pissed but I don't think it happens.
I read yesterday that Gase is continuing to move pieces around on the line throughout the week. I wouldn't be surprised if the line looks different on Sunday
According to PFF, Kalil has improved in each game he has played so far, but that's not saying much given how terrible he is. Winters needs to go though, he hasn't had a good season since his contract year. We're realistically looking at 3-4 new linemen in 2020.
Guy called up Francessa two days ago and said Nate Solder is horrible and Fatso said he has been bad but he's still better than that guy on the Jets , take your pick Beachum/Shell they both suck
