Yes. I'm disappointed they seemingly mailed it in the last 10 games. You can't just pick up where you left off when you were hot. I don't see them beating Minnesota.
I could watch Didi's grand slam on a loop for a week. I genuinely feel bad for the Twins. 15 playoff losses in a row, 18 out of 19, all but three of those losses have been to us. Still gotta take care of business in Minnesota, then on to face the juggernaut.
Wasn't cheering for them to lose Cappy. Fortunately, it looks like I'm wrong! Hopefully Sevvy can put forth a solid performance tonight.
I understand your frustration of not trying hard over the last week week of the season, but given the sheer number of injuries they've dealt with this year, I can see why they chose to take it easy and settle for the 2 seed in the AL. Hopefully, the Rays push the Stros to a game 4 or 5 while the Yanks finish off the Twins tonight.
If both the Dodgers and Astros go down in their game 5s I'll laugh my ass off. Especially the Dodgers; at least Houston won a title.
Any chance Rays win tomorrow night? I hope they do. I want a NY team in FInals. Baseball, basketball, hockey I don't care. I am jelly of Boston fans. I want as many NY team in Finals as possible. Go Yankees!
Any team can win a do or die game, but it'll be a difficult task going up against Gerrit Cole on normal rest in Houston.
...and once again, the vaunted Dodgers head home with nothing to show for their season (does anyone care about pennants anymore? I suppose that's not 'nothing'). Cmon Rays. Much as I'd like a crack at the Astros and get them back for 2017, our path to the WS would be undeniably easier not having to go thru Cole/Verlander.
