More hidden production nonsense. I read this article last year after he got shutout on the stat sheet vs Cleveland.

He needs a haircut and a kick in the @ss not people blowing more smoke up his butt telling him how good he is.

These people talk as if getting sacks is akin to good luck. Please.

$14.2 million, people. $14.2 frickin' million dollars for superb technique and (supposedly) trying hard.

I don't understand what the fuck this guy is seeing if this is him being honest.

I almost hope he's blowing smoke up his ass because if not, he's on drugs.

We can all agree Leonard Williams has been garbage

OBJ got rid of the bleached hair and look he had with the Giants for a clean cut look with the Browns. He's a superstar.

If he can do it why can't Leo?

He should let his game do the talking. Play good football then he wouldn't need a look to be recognizable.

There are plays where every other lineman is in the backfield and there's Leo getting manhandled at the LOS.

    No push...no ferocity...no effort...no bueno...:(

The scary thing is it's a different coaching staff yet the comments are almost indistinguishable from the previous coaching staff.

Outside of two or three games last season he sucked too. Finished with five sacks, three came in one game vs Denver that means two sacks in the other 15 games. Hot garbage.

The guy has no motivation, no reason to get better here. All the Jets do is tell him how good he is, when he sucks don't worry it's good enough.

I remember a time where Leo was actually trying, like he really was the best DL on the team. I think it was when Mo and Sheldon weren’t around anymore and he actually played hard but since he was the only DL the opposite team actually needed to worry about, they really double teamed him to death. Then he just gave up and doesn’t even look like he’s trying now… tough shit

Leo Williams is a very average defensive lineman. I hope GMJD has the good sense not to extend him.

    We’ve truly reached bizarro world!

This reminds me of the Kacey Rodgers quote a few years ago, where he said something like “Revis is doing great and deserves an extension” or something stupid-in his last year here..Almost worked against us as shortly after Revis fires his agents in one final attempt to milk us dry

Alas he never did..I can only hope, this is him trying to enhance his trade value

The Jets should trade him now.

Not only to get something for him but keep him away from the Patriots.

I can picture this guy signing with them as a UFA at a fraction of what the Jets are paying him, getting a haircut to mark his new beginning and Belichick giving him the kick in the @ss that he NEEDS.

Belichick has a history of taking guys that don't do much with one team then turning them into playmakers on his team. This guy is a former top ten pick I don't know how many of Belichick's reformed busts have been that talented.

    TRADE HIM!!!

if that was the case he would play harder. He's on a contract year. if he was any good he could play his way into a large long term contract elsewhere

Leonard Williams is a just a loser. plain and simple

Sadly this seems to be the truth.

Crazy to think a guy who showed so much promise in college can be such a waste in the NFL. This happens a lot with quarterbacks and receivers, but not very often with defensive lineman, as far as I've seen.

Edit: I looked into the above and it happens but nowhere near as often as RB, QB, and WR

he had 20 sacks in college in like 30 games. that's more than he's had in the NFL.... combined... and its his 5th year
