Who can forget the Jets 41-0 home win over the Colts in the playoffs?

    *sigh*

If only they could get more home playoff games.

I miss, Rex. I enjoyed football when he was around. Mostly. Damn, he was a fun coach.

Actually Rex did make that bold proclamation about Jones on draft day. https://sports.yahoo.com/rex-ryan-s...niel-jones-over-dwayne-haskins-181110904.html

He kinda did though, not in the same sense, but Rex was all about Daniel Jones prior to the draft, during the draft, and after the Giants picked him. He was one of the few to project him going as early as he did. I don't think that's what he is doing at all.

I agree. Having said that, what Rex is doing is talking up the prediction that makes him look good (at least for now) and ignoring all the bad predictions he's made. But lots of people do that.

I saw nothing there about him saying he would be better than Darnold.

Of course. I don't blame him for that though, nobody is going to look out for him better than himself.

...or, at least, that's the way It should be.

He is now proclaiming this. It doesn't change the fact that he has been high on Daniel Jones. He has. So, after seeing the work he has done and the product he is putting out there on an NFL field, it stands to reason that he feels a little more secure in his stance, and can make a bold statement like that now, eh?

He's entitled to his opinion. I don't care that he's been high on Jones.

To say he is or will be better than Darnold after one win

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Low bar, man. Then again this is the same guy who took a victory lap around Metlife after a 8-8 season.

One has to remember that Rex is the guy that traded up for Sanchez when the scouting department was against drafting Sanchez. Rex is also the guy that started Sanchez when Clemens, McElroy and pretty much every 2nd and 3rd string QB in the league was a huge upgrade over Sanchez. It's hard to take his evaluation seriously. That being said Jones does look awful good and he sounds like a very likeable hardworking kid but I am happy we have Sam.

Rex was responsible for the Quinton Coples pick.
I remember people joking here to please lock him out of the war room on draft day.

  14. Im sure Jones will end up significantly better than Darnold. Thats how things always go for the Jets/giants.

Might as well come to grips w it now.Our owners are morons & we’re cursed

Stop worrying about the Giants. Who gives a shit. They are in a different conference and it isn’t a rivalry. They’re irrelevant to what we do for the Jets. If you let the fans ruffle your feathers that’s a you problem. Stop it already.

Misery loves company. It looks like we will have less company in the metro area for a decade or so. Watch BB become the next Giant HC next year. You can almost feel it coming...

    LOL

He predicted the Dolphins would give New England a run for their money and that the game would be far closer than people think.

    About that.......

To be fair, he also got a tattoo dedicated to Mark Sanchez, who is currently out of the NFL. Jones may turn out to be good, but he legitimately played 1 game against a bad Bucs defense, who is coached by Todd Bowles (we all know how his stint here went).

We'll see how things pan out in time
