If you took the Jets and the points, you won! Someone in my office told me the spread was 27 and I offered to to take the Jets and the points for $20. He just laughed at me.
THANK GOD I GAVE UP MY SEASON TICKETS and I did not buy a cock a mammy PSL ---> Gase sucks ass --> FU Woody sell the team
I just checked that pigskin pick em comp that we do on here and I must have had a moment of insanity as I picked the Jets to win with the 22.5 points added
This is what our OHC was abale to achieve which maybe worse then any rich kotite O performance: QB: 12-22 98 yrds, 1 int QBR 47.2 % OL: 5 sacks, all kinds of missed assignments, 2.2 yds per play, 1.6 rushing 0-12 3rd down 10 punts 6 1st downs NE 382 yrds, Jets 105
9 years ago..we were a Playoff Team with the same godforsaken owners.. They were lucky that Tanny spent like crazy to put together a Team...Rex was never a great Coach and that trend continues and continues My silver lining in Joe Douglas to hire a new HC and do his job revamping this slop
I would put forth the humble opinion that the OL taken as a total package (skill, blocking, assignments etc) is orders of magnitude more of a problem than poor play calling. When your QB takes a snap, immediately has to spin away from the first rusher that's there just a heartbeat behind the snap, and spins into a second unblocked defender coming with arms outstretched right at his facemask I'm really not sure that play calling is the problem. This has been a terrible problem since the beginning of the Buffalo game. The Jets QB just simply needs more time to operate. Darnold is good enough to occasionally pull something out of absolutely nothing and claw the team forward here and there but winning games just isn't ever going to happen consistently until this catastrophe is fixed up a little. I was very nervous about this all offseason and coming into the year but honestly I didn't think it'd be THIS bad. Not sure how these things are ranked but this has to be amongst the worst sustained level of protection in the NFL for several seasons.
Yet somehow this guy is treated like a hall of famer Pats punter today was all fair catch except one on the goal line. Our punter was zero fair catch. If you’re going to suck at least get a good punter. This organization is such crap. Top to bottom. Sell the team Johnshitsons
One important point on this, almost all the Pats punts were from midfield. Meaning the Pats had way less to run down to get the fair catch call. Most of Edwards punts were from way back, so he would just boot it and the Jets players would have to run much further to get the fair catch call.
The problem in a nutshell is most of the Jets starters are average joes give or take two or three. A lot of these guys are hurt. If average starters are hurt then the back ups play. If the starters are average then the back ups are worse than average. This is what we saw today. Last week also. The OL is terrible - decrepit and simply not very good as a whole. The CBs are not starter material. There are no NFL caliber EDGE players on this roster. WR is also lacking in talent and depth. Those four positions ( the most important on an NFL team outside of QB ) are just awful. I can’t wait to see what Douglas has up his sleeve to improve this team. We are looking at a minimum of about two years. The bright side is it can be done and has been before ....
Yup, and it means 2 years lost on Darnold's rookie contract. Ideally the OL gets 2 new starters and a number 1 WR is found in the 2020 draft. Then in 2021, CB and Edge get addressed. Things rarely go according to plan though.
