I don't think we have a very good chance to win, or even a very chance to not get blown out. But I think somewhere in there is a chance for an upset. Trap game - any given Sunday - and all that stuff. Especially if: -We are able to run the ball and control the clock. -We get some timely turnovers and bend not break on defense. -Unexpected special teams TDs. -Their star players party with hookers and cocaine all Saturday night. -A wealthy NY mobster greases the refs more than the wealthy NE mobsters. -Tom Brady falls down the stairs and breaks his ankle entering the stadium. You know, the usual stuff.
The Patriots should bench Brady for Jarrett Stidham. Let him get some live NFL action. Make the game more entertaining too. Then, if it is still close in the 4th, bring Brady in. Say the score is 13-13, after 3 quarters, bring Brady in for the 4th. Final score 41-13 Patriots.
This shit will never happen, but I would LOVE to see this board if the Jets win this game! All the negative shit as of late, a win against New England with Falk would cause heads to explode
Play 11 DBs. Punt on first down. Triple the Bounty on Brady. Seriously, need to slow the game down, bleed the clock. Minimize the Patriots possessions. We're overmatched in every phase , have to hope for a few lucky bounces.
I think that anyone who posts in this thread or elsewhere and says that the Jets can win this game should be drug tested immediately !!! Carry on
What I think is more interesting is when (or if) Brady will be pulled from the game. History suggests that he'll still be in there in the 4th quarter when the Pats are up 45-3, and if that's the case it would be delicious karmic justice if he got injured then. I do hope that people who are saying "I just hope the Jets don't embarrass themselves" realize that that means that they shouldn't also be saying "Gase better open up the offense and let Falk sling it around." Those two statements don't really go together. Anyway, as far as the game goes, I believe if the Jets win it would be the biggest upset in NFL history in terms of the point spread (unless Miami beats Dallas this week), so sure, why not go with that?
Ugh I was hoping for the same. I'm down in south FL and CBS is showing the Jets at 1 pm and Fox is showing the Dolphins/Cowboys at the same time. 2 crappy games down this way...
This just in from my rabid Jets fan friend, Vinnie: "Jets 23 point dogs, lol. Taking without hesitation the Pats. I would've taken the Pats in my knockout but I did that last week. This one will be ugly , 60-3 book it. With the next top ten pick we will have next year can we please get a fucking O lineman. 23 point dogs."
I'm dreading this one, I think it will be an absolute blow out. What we've shown thus far in two games, we have nothing going on offense and Pats have very good defense, best we've been faced thus far, so 40-something Patriots - under 10 Jets.. I'm going to watch the first half, if/when we're out of it, I change to another game.
Hoping the Jets can pull off a miracle but I also will switch to another game (Chiefs/Ravens most likely) once the Jets are out of it.
