I don’t think anyone supported Gase because there was empirical evidence from his coaching career that indicated he would be a great coach. It was simply optimism that what we would get is the best of his resume.
The announcers were right to start calling Gase out for him not trying to do anything to solve what was happening. Yes, they have injuris, yes their OL sucks, yes they have a 3rd string QB in, but jeezus, you were hired as an offensive genius! You can't figure ANYTHING out? Where are the roll outs? Where are the double teams on Garrett? Where are the passes to the slot receiver? His playcalling is so predictable! And now we get to look forward to his snarky responses and denial of all blame! I really don't think I can watch another minute of this team.
Anybody who lived through the Joe Walton era recognizes what Adam Gase is as an offensive play caller. Draws, screens and never throwing the ball past the first down marker. Get used to it because you're gonna see it all season.
And seriously, doesn't Gase know about the hurryup offense? Does he think it's a rule that HAVE to have a huddle?
His resume? What objective positives were in there? Not the subjective BS that every resume contains, the real, hard facts. I couldn't find it. I've said he won't get canned this year because of the record, and shouldn't, especially after all the injuries but he showed nothing evoking even the slightest bit of inspiration. Let's see how he handles the press conference tonight; he could still lose his job over his attitude.
He’s made a career out of Peyton Manning being an all-time great QB. Surely that will finally translate to success for him as a head coach in New York.
I kinda bought in to the fact that he overachieved in Miami with absolute garbage at QB Looks like he’s just mediocre/bad regardless
I have an idea: Next home game they should wear these black unis again but turn out the lights so we can't see them.
LMAO Gase is such a dickhead and it’s probably going to get much worse the next few weeks He’s got a piss poor attitude for a coach and will say whatever he wants (no coach speak)
"We just decided not to play him." "Because I'm the HC and I can do whatever I want and not have to explain it to anyone".
If I had faith in Joe Douglas, I'd be waiting for him to shitcan Gase. But then I see how the Ryan Kalil acquisition is turning out plus that dumbass Demaryius Thomas trade, and I don't know about him either. At least he finally got a halfway decent kicker on his third try.
