I would. Put Hobson in the middle and draft another OLB to go with Thomas.

    While I wouldn't do it for a 2nd and a 5th, I'd consider it for the right price (#1).

Why trade vilma? He's a leader to the defense. He can learn and adjust to the 3-4.

So you'd rather be known as a poster who comes up with inane threads such as this?

This thread is not as inane as you think... If the team doesn't think he fits their 3-4, they should get value for it.

    1st and 3rd? Probably... 2nd and 5th?? Laughable.

In the JN chat with Andrew Gross yesterday, he said that there is a possibility knowing the administration that Vilma could eventually be traded if the Jets end up thinking he's a bad fit there and that the value is there to be able to move him. No way they do that after this season, though.

Never. Why not trade every player on the team. It's only our first year of the 3-4 defense. We'll be fine.

I'm not ready to get rid of him yet. But there are only 3 games left in the season. What do you guys think is a reasonable amount of time to let a player adjust to the 3-4. If we get into 2 or 3 games of 07 and he's still not performng, when do we do something about it?

you know.. if we get a 1st rounder for him I might consider it.

edit. i just changed my mind
vilma is a proven player and is still very young.
