1. Nick Hairston He played better than Trumaine Johnson. I'm sure his PFF stats won't look great because OBJ made a great 1 handed catch, but he had perfect coverage on the play. Also a positive from this - our GM scoured the rosters for this player. This is a positive for our new GM (even if the coach doesn't work out). 2. The defense in general They played hard all game, despite no CJ Mosley, but what can you expect when the offense can't move the ball? They played good enough to win. Maye looked good, as well as some newcomers like Basham. 3. Sam Ficken We may have our kicker. That's all. We all know the negatives. No use discussing at this point.
It's one less game in the next season sure to be filled with pain. I honestly have hardly any interest in this shit anymore lol Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
Luke Falk got game. I think the kid could put up some decent numbers with a professional Oline protecting him. Sadly, that's not the case here in 2019.
Here is my silver lining: Finally we have a GM that: 1. Has an eye for a talent. 2. Will not sit on his ass to improve his squad. I would just hope he values OL highly, so he will bolster that position come next spring.
Positives?? Hmmm closer to getting the number 1 or 2 pick?? Maybe trade down with a team looking for a QB and gain more picks... im betting we split with miami
Defense balled out. Imagine if our offense didn’t keep putting the d on the field. Even with a limited pass rush, they forced Mayfield into an ugly game who got bailed out by the 89 yard td to OBJ. Browns running game was going nowhere.
1. Potential top 10 pick 2. CB held up, for the most part imo 3. Levon Bell is as good as advertised 4. Robby Anderson spotting 5. Kicker 6. Greg Williams somehow scheming our defense to look somewhat decent + holding players accountable for bad performance i.e tru
Agree with your points and I was actually glad to see Falk go into that 2 minute drill at the end of the game (whether because of Gase or Falk). Obviously it was over and the Browns weren't playing as hard, but they still showed more of a sense of urgency than I've seen out of a Jets offensive at the end of the game in years - even when the game was still winnable.
Only positive for me is Bell. Played hard and is back to where he is at. Falk has to get some good looks to WRs. Passing defense is atrocious!
