Agholor redeems himself, but it seems that about half of the players are writhing on the ground.

And the Eagles finish 1/2 yard short of a first down on the 9 and it's over.

That stupid rule that Wentz "gave himself up" and therefore didn't get the 2 point conversion had a huge impact on this final drive. They probably would have kicked the xp on the following touchdown and would have been trailing by 3 on the last drive. Would have played out very differently.

I had a prop bet that the game would go to overtime...that pissed me off.

Do you do single games or do you ever parlay 3-4 games etc?

One thing I gathered from this weekend:

The Jets franchise is in a much better place today than many others in the NFL.

    - Colts lost their starting young star QB forever.
    - Ben Rothelisberger is potentially out for the year with a throwing arm injury.
    - Drew Brees might be done for the year, or a long time, with a throwing hand injury.
    - The Eagles are losing every one of their play-makers at an alarming clip.
    - The Giants are absolute garbage and are 0-2.
    - The Steelers are 0-2.
    - The Dolphins are one of the worst teams I have seen in a long time, outside of the Browns over the last decade.
    - Cam Newton does not look very good at all.

It sucks losing Darnold for an extended time, but I would much rather lose him like this to an illness rather than an injury like Big Ben and Drew Brees.

Agreed that's a TERRIBLE rule. Diving is not giving yourself up, it's making a football move, I can't believe they changed that rule. The NFL continues to water down the game and ruin it for everyone under the guise of safety. It's so stupid.

Drew Brees out a minimum of 6 weeks with hand surgery.

Big Ben done for the year needing elbow surgery.

I'll take Darnold missing a few weeks with mono

Well, the Steelers went from 'in deep trouble', to 'completely fucked, cya in 2020'. Meanwhile Lamar Jackson went 24-37/272/2/0 and ran for 120 more. I'm starting to think I massively underestimated him and the Ravens.

I'm just getting back into it after laying off of it for a bunch of years.

    No parlay's yet...just moneyline, O/U & in-game prop bets.

I like the in-game betting...if you have a feel for the game and coaches tendencies, it's fun.

Of course yesterday I did well in the early games and pissed away a bunch on the later ones.

I was hoping to get some back on the late game by going Eagles and over....

I am a sucker for parlays. I just love them. I don’t like in game betting as I am always wrong during the games. Lol

What I don't understand is if diving means a QB gave himself up - than what about all the dives on QB sneaks. Heck Wentz dove to get their final TD on a sneak.

    I like them.

Keeps it fun on games I'm not into otherwise.

What the rule says is that if a player dives forward he is considered down when he hits the ground, whether or not he is touched, and the ball is down wherever he is holding it at the time. That's why they took away the 2 point conversion from Wentz - when his knee hit the ground the ball was short of the goal line, even though the ball was past it by the time he was touched. This isn't like going feet first, where the ball is down at the start; in the case the ball is down at the end.

As far as QB sneaks go, since a QB is obviously touched by an opposing player on a QB sneak it doesn't matter, as the ball is placed where the ball was when he hits the ground or (more often) his forward momentum is stopped in any event.

The interesting thing here is a situation where a player is running, and as a defender gets close falls forward. According to the rule if he chose to fall forward he's down immediately, but if he did so by accident he can keep rolling or crawling until he gets touched. How is an official supposed to know what he was thinking?

This was talked about by at least one person at NBC Sports last year, although it's funny that he got the rule right and still dozens of people leaving comments got it wrong anyway:

Yeah, me too. I won 600 yesterday's early games  I had 49ers, Bills and Seahawks. Keeps the games more interesting along with Fantasy Football.
