I had mono back in high school. I graduated over 10 years ago. I still have mono.

What makes you think Sam will be ready by 2020?

    DL in round 1?

Seriously, I hope we go OL or WR in the 1st round. Both are massive needs for us.

Brah, the Jets have agreed to put Sam in a cryogenic chamber to freeze out the virus and maintain his youth.

I wonder if he was playing with Mono... Its possible he wasnt feeling 100% and manned up and played. Then after a day or 2 didnt feel any better, went to the Drs and found out he had Mono.
Either way, we have a tough schedule, and decent backup so we still have a shot.

Receiver might be a real possibility. The receiving class coming out is insane

He was. This was addressed earlier in this thread.

He said he had been losing weight at a very fast clip and was feeling weak for a few days before it was reported on Tuesday

I'm partial to Jeudy and Higgins now.

I know you are, I’m having fun with all of this as well. It’s crazy how they can’t be consistently good.

It’s always something holding this team back.

Lol, there is no reason to even be mad at this point. All teams deal with one thing or another but there is no escaping this dark cloud that hangs over the Jets.

Our luck they'll screw up the paperwork and the Jets will end up with Walt Disney instead.

Just read on Twitter that Belichick injected Demaryius Thomas with Mono before the trade. The league needs to look into this ASAP.

What's this "positives" of which you speak? I've been a Jets fan for over 50 years I don't know what that is.

Sitting here watching TV and I can't help but laugh at the situation.

With all the hope for this year, I would have laughed in your face if you told me we would lose Sam Darnold to mono.

This truly is fuckin comical at this point.

I do believe that is exactly what happened. That is why I think he is a winner.

It needs to be OL more than anything in the world. We don't plug up that line, the receivers aren't going to be able to even complete their routes, no matter how good they are. It's sad that the front office hasn't drafted any O-linemen in the first round since D'Brick and Mangold in 2006, or picked up any top tier free agents since Fanaca and Woody in 2008. It's been all about getting the massive defensive linemen to stop the big bruising fullbacks like Csonka and Riggins that are the main dominant force in the NFL this decade .

Read the Wikipedia Mono page and this pretty much sums it up. I'm guessing he's back in mid to late November unless he gets the Eddie Murphy version in which case his [insert body part here] will turn inside out and then explode.

Ugh. I'm just going to hope and pray he has a light version of it and the fact that he's a pro athlete means he can shake it off sooner than most.
