Anybody know much about him? He's 24, and has only started 2 games in two seasons and had 45 tackles, 2 sacks and 1 pass defensed.
He's a defensive lineman who can't get near a QB. The guy might as well have been born with a Jets tattoo
In all seriousness there is a lot to like about him. 3rd rounder so you know there's legitimate talent. Got better every year at Kansas State going from 1, to 4.5 to 8.5 to 11.5 sacks. Forced 3 fumbles in both his junior and sophomore seasons. Served as a student body president, big 12 defensive player of the year in 2016. He'll probably amount to nothing but it would be nice to get lucky for once
if this was mac, we'd hear all the jokes about "more d-line" and "ignoring the o-line, CB, and pass rush"
This looks like it could potentially be a very good signing. If nothing else, he sounds like he could be a solid backup/depth-type player. He has the right character, motor, work ethic. While he does have elite quickness or athleticism, his speed (4.53 40 is very good). He seems to diagnose plays quickly and well, and is a solid tackler. https://www.ganggreennation.com/2019/9/15/20861659/a-look-at-jordan-willis-jets Here's an excerpt from the article.
