This move is more about putting a competent WR on the field to help groom our (hopefully) FQB. We don't need Sam to be throwing to guys like Andre Roberts or the Deontay Burnetts of the world. He needs to be throwing to guys who will be in the right place, at the right time, and run good routes. EDIT - If anyone here is expecting the DT we saw back in Denver when PM broke records they are delusional and need more help than AB does.
But why the patriots? Why feed the machine? This regime has already lost me w this move. They dont respect the jets team shield
Trading a 6th round pick in 2021 is not a short sighted move, it's a 6th rounder. If we dished a 3rd for DT then we 'd all have every right to be outrage, but we didn't. Our wide receivers are not good outside of Crowder. Robby is a one trick pony and Enunwa just went down for the season. We can't let our 22 year old QB go out there with practice squad level players.
This mindset needs to die. The Patriots do not turn every 6th round pick into Tom Brady or Julian Edelman.
You dont trade w a team that is the kind of rival the patriots have been.I guess your ok w the last 18 years? Hows 10 more sound?
You do what’s best for your team. This is business , it’s not personal. I’ll take my chances that that 6th round pick 3 years from now doesn’t propel the pats into another 18 year dynasty if it helps my qb .
What message does it send biggs? Short term over long term on a rebuilding team.Rinse & repeat Dont like the 6th round pick?then package it for a higher pick like teams do every year.just like the patriots will likely do. You dont feed the monster under your bed even if he promises candy
By all means then..10 more years sound good? Couple anti jet bellicheat/kraft soundclips along the way sound alright to you?
They have a 42 year old QB who's getting face lifts in the offseason. We're developing a 22 year old QB for the future. Looking through the front windshield I can't even see the Pats taillights. I don't care about the Pats, I care about developing a franchise QB so that we can make the playoffs in a year or two and compete for SB for 5 to 10 years. This obsession with the Pats is making you crazy.
Bingo. People are so scared that any move they make will cause the next great dynasty in New England. If this move has a chance to help us develop our guy, I'm all in. Like Biggs said - they have a 42 year old QB and a Coach who won't be around forever. The Wicked Witch is almost dead.
Please explain, without over the top emotion, how this pick is sentencing us to 10 more years of pats domination. I am just not following your thinking here.
I went crazy a long time ago. I think its pitiful to side step enemy #1 in our own division. But fair enough.Enjoy your 32 year old WR who likely gets season ending injury after 2 games.
