I think you are right, especially after it was said it was possible life changing last time, one hard hit in wrong place or wrong angle and it could be wheelchair bound and nobody wants that, he must have earned a decent amount to be comfortable for the rest of his life. Shame really, we got that one good season full of promise to come and then injuries curtailed him.
I never said that he asked for or deserved the injury. I also said that part of me feels sorry for him. I hope he doesn't have any long-term health issues. I don't mean to be snippy, but what more do you want.
Damn rough, Q just wasn’t the same. To think, he got the damn injury in the Green & White scrimmage. Time to hang them up Q. At least he got some financial security before this incident.
Saw it on twitter. One of the reporters posted it but this is from another site. New York Jets WRs Carlton Agudosi, Amara Darboh, Krishawn Hogan, Joe Horn, DeAndre Thompkins, Jordan Veasy, Kendall Wright; TEs Stephen Anderson, Donald Parham, Ross Travis; QBs Taryn Christion, Tyree Jackson, Mike White, Ks Elliott Fry, Greg Joseph, Younghoe Koo, Tristan Vizcaino Not sure what other moves the Jets will make but signing the cb Colvin would be one and I actually like Deonte Thompson who was in camp with us. Not sure they'll do it but those would be the two moves I make at this time.
I wish people would do a little research before throwing names out there. Colvin has been trash for the Texans and plays the slot, where we already have Brian Poole. On Monday night he gave up 8 catches for 117 and a TD and had a terrible 2018 before that. Maybe a change of scenery will help but he's been bad for a decent amount of time now.
Thanks! I wonder why they brought in QBs. Aaron Colvin had a rough night vs the Saints, but he wasn't the first, nor will he be the last. Still, he hasn't done much in his career to-date. He started 15 games his second season, but mostly has been a backup. He only has 15 passes defensed in 5 years and no interceptions. He has experience, but I honestly don't know if he's any better than what we already have.
Really unfortunate news. Q is the man. He will be missed. Glad he signed his extension when he did, for his sake. Not sure how it will effect the Jets' Cap if he retires. I assume he will. No need to risk it.
I know he looked awful but after our top three (who I don't trust all that much) there isn't much behind them. Can't hurt to bring in a former starter who looked bad against Drew Brees. By no means am I saying we have to sign him but a nmae that should interests us since the cbs looked awful. Trumane Johnson had similar stats Sunday and he is playing on Monday. QBs not sure why. Darnold is sick today. Maybe because of that. I don't know. As for Colvin he's an option. Don't love him but better than other street free agents. We'll see if they add anyone else over today and tomorrow.
Awful news. One of my favorites on the current team. Losing the depth will hurt, but at least we've seen Darnold still play at a high level without Enunwa in the lineup, the last four weeks of 2018.
Colvin wasn't just terrible against an all-time great on Monday, he was awful all of last year too. He has played 59 games in his career (starting 28 of them) and has exactly 0 career interceptions. Hard pass, thank you.
This is unfortunate news for a really good person. On the football side, I wonder if there was any consideration in letting Quincy walk and replacing him with the likes of Tyrell Williams...they probably would have cost the same.
Discouraging news and hope he has a healthy life. Now I just don’t get all of the love for Anderson as the number 1 receiver. In my opinion he is overrated and sadly if he is number 1 then the Jets WR corps is weaker than I thought.
